Looking at Yahoo! Political Dashboard - Yahoo! Buzz Poll Result by State:
California blows my mind - is it because of the debate there last night???
In MANY states he is second to McCain. Does it look like a two person race? This is interesting, don't you think?

States where Ron Paul is leading:

CALIFORNIA Paul-42%, McCain-26%
Alaska 46%, 28%
Maine 33%, 32%
Montana 45%, 33%
Kansas 35%, 33%

Some states where Ron Paul is second to McCain:

Washington Paul-26%, McCain-36%
Oregon 22%,44%
Colorado 26%, 36%
New mexico 26%, 41%
Texas 24%, 38%
Nebraska 22%, 39%
Indiana 22%, 34%
North Carolina 25%, 31%

Suffering most in the South and SouthWest and I personally think it is because McCain supports amnesty where Ron Paul supports obeying the law.

The Northweast is lagging too - anybody has input as to why?

The NATIONAL Yahoo! Buzz has Paul 24%, McCain 37%

What is the significance of yahoo buzz?

Not sure of its basis, although I like the looks of it.

Please advise!

There is no significance. All it means is that's who's being searched for the most. Ron Paul has always been the "most searched" candidate on the internet, but it has yet to translate into real-world votes.

Focus on what gets votes. Pointless internet metrics do not. Canvassing does. :)

Ah, I see, guess I got excited for naught...oh well, back to making dinner...:)
Question - sorry if it's lame - canvassing is done in states that haven't voted in the primaries yet, right? I'm in SC.

Thanks...

canvassing is done in ALL states whether you voted or not. We have the general election whether we are on a repub or 3rd party platform so we need to continue getting NEW supporters in ALL states.

Just because someone didn't vote ron paul this time does NOT mean they wont in the general election when it comes down to it. All that means is that we need to wake up the majoirty of Americans by that time.

States that have already voted need to continue canvassing, donating, getting new grassroots supporters. We still have a ton of time left to build up the largest base FOR RON PAUL and NOT for the republican party. They are two separate things.....

RP has led in the Yahoo Buzz numbers forever. It's all of us junkies searching for "Ron Paul" news 10 times a day.

RP was the leader in Iowa too on the Buzz numbers, he had something like 50%.

Sorry, doesn't really mean anything.

The actual hard numbers for the yahoo buzz dont matter much, but the one thing that has accurately predicted most of the states is the change the day before and the day of the election. Look at how much the buzzes change when the election gets close and you will get a better idea on what is happening in the election, up through South Carolina the change in the buzz column has been more accurate than the polls at predicting who comes in what place. For instance NH was such a shock to everyone on the democratic side, but the yahoo buzz changed negative 10 percent for obama, and positive for hillary, which is exactly how the election turned out.

What's with TEXAS? That should be the PARAMONT standard... though I know McCain and Ghouliani, have big DOLLAR TIES to TEXAS.

I bet all those defense contractors in TEXAS are pouring the money into the McMiddleEast Campaign.
