Awesome. This means that the blimp will most likely not have to purchase anything. Companies clamor to give free stuff to projects like this.

I think it would be a great idea if XM radio would pitch in a little bit... that means more coverage of the whole "operation" both on TV and Radio... remember now XM contacted us.

lets not over do it though... and lets have the majority of the funds come from us. I don't see why any good company wouldn't want to advertise on it... for as much coverage this thing is going to get, it'll be worth it for all of us. But we can't overdo it.

As much as i would like all of the funds to come from us... i do see some good in having XM come aboard.

Yeah this sounds great. Press should ride for free, but I'm all for getting some exta money by putting small other ads on the blimp. I do think it adds cred as well.

at this point i see no harm in a possible small sponsor, especially one that could support/report the blimp's voyage to a vast audience... but i think it would be great if we could raise the money ourselves and maybe have press ride-a-longs or something.

At least for the first month, this needs to be all Ron grassroots. Maybe later, spots of the blimp could have advertising from sponsors sympathetic to RP. Gold bugs, Tax Reform orgs, etc.
