WV Not Good!

I hope some of our delegates are included. I'm very leery of this alliance, even temporarily, because it also puts us in bed with McCain. McCain's supporters broke for Huckabee and we put him over the top.

Something is fishy here.

I just looked @ CNN here:

h ttp://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/state/#WV

10 minutes ago they were completely different numbers w/ 100% reporting:

10 minutes ago it was:

1) Romney
2) McCain
3) Huckabee
4) Paul

Now it is?

Huckabee 567 52% 0

Romney 521 47% 0

McCain 12 1% 0

Giuliani 0 0% 0

Paul 0 0%

WTF? Anyone else see that? Diebold anyone?

Crap, I didn't snag a screen shot.

In the 2nd round...

It looks like 164 of 176 McCain supporters went for Huckabee and 28 of 118 Ron Paul supporters went for Huckabee.

It also looks like 57 Ron Paul supporters went for Romney and another 33 Ron Paul supporters walked out.

looks like RP supporters stood down?

First Round:
118 - Paul (10.601%)
375 - Huckabee (33.692%)
464 - Romney (41.689%)
176 - McCain (15.813%)
1113 TOTAL

Final Round (unofficial - WSAZ):
524 - Huckabee (51.676%)
479 - Romney (47.238%)
11 - McCain (1.084%)
1014 TOTAL

Final Round (CNN):
567 - Huckabee (51.545%)
521 - Romney (47.363%)
12 - McCain (1.090%)
1100 TOTAL

I was originally making the case that the majority of RP voters stood down in the final round, but now it seems that is not the case.

Where did this come from?

It looks like some of the delegates from each category could have bolted after lunch.

wtf....why did we vote for huckabee....WV you manke me sick...so where did the people go who said they would do a write in in the national elections if Ron was not elected....ughhhh.......you dont get a revolution with compromise....so all you guys will prob vote for huck against hittlary.....

and I thought this was a revolution.......screw you WV...I will be with Ron even if I am the last man standing....no compromise for me...

It's called strategy. 3 delegates are better than 0. McWar and Flopney will get plenty of delegates in other states, but in WV they got 0. Plus, if we need some support, Huck might just throw some votes our way.

I would rather have had Romney get all 18 and challenge McCain and Huckabee drop out. This would lead to only 3 people left.

all Paul should have gone to Romney for 3 delegates rather than with Huck

Simma down. This is a preview of how the brokered convention will work in Minnesota. We made a deal; give Huckabee the win in exchange for 3 national delegates. A little of something is better than a whole lotta nothing. Read some of the other threads about this before you start bashing WV. They secured 3 national delegates for us.
