I heard it too. It felt like a ghost was near me for a second before I realilzed that it was an answer to the question. It could have come from Russert thought because he didn't sound like he had finished his question. Somebody need to investigate this on youtube.

Heard it too, it was not on the speakers to the audience, this was a direct feed from MSNBC to something that was not played on the speakers to the audience (because there was NO reverb heard and there were definitely microphones picking up the reverb in the hall).

before you guys go oliver stone on this, it's pretty clear it was btwn the moderators. they said (post-debate) that they were receiving emails and faxes throughout the debate stating diff't things; i think their questions evolve as the debate progress- they were likely just sharing info.

It may well have been the moderators. We are just wondering what is was. No conspiracy theories here, just curious since it was audible enough to be noticed.
