Given the sad and sorry state of WIDESPREAD public ignorance and stupidity on matters of personal finance, economics, debt and investment, I think Suze usually provides valuable information and wise counsel for the masses.<IMHO>

This lady calls in whining cause she racked up $42k in credit card debt (without her husband knowing), and is whining because her husband essentially said 'it's your debt, you pay it!' So orme tells her to dump him and take half to pay the debt. Then trys to justify why the woman went into debt by saying she thinks he was talking to someone else so she was depressed and blew all this money. Now for the REAL kicker!!!! She goes on to say HE should have been working on the relationship! As if, blowing $40 grand is working on the relationship?!?!?!?!

The thing I don't understand is...how can a woman so absurdly unfair and presumptuous ever get into a position where other people actually respect her and seek her advice? "Oh, you betrayed your husband's trust by secretly blowing tons of money, waiting until you fell into $42,000 of unmanageable debt before even letting him know? It's obviously his fault. He must be cheating on you."
