Wow, that is so depressing. Poor Dr. Paul has never got any respect. How he has kept on fighting all these years is beyond me. I feel beat up just following the campaign over the internet -- I don't know he does it - he's a true hero. I feel like crying.
Which is why none of us need to even think about giving up on this.
Imagine how happy Ron Paul must be to know that, in his Golden years, he has finally gotten such a large number of people to wake up to his message
and begin to take action independently of him!
This is why he doesn't seem to be providing the leadership that so many people are demanding, because he knows he isn't the leader we've been waiting for.
Oh he is a leader, and has played a crucial role in our rEVOLution, but his has always been a more educational and advisory role. He simply isn't a charismatic made-for-TV leader like Reagan was.
But now he has energized those of us who care about our Constitution and it's proper role as the supreme law of our Government, and it is up to us to find our new leaders, younger leaders, to carry on the struggle that Ron Paul has fought for lo these many lonely years.
That is why he isn't giving up on the Republican Party, because he knows first-hand the futility of a third-party run. We have to take back control of the GOP, and then wrest control of the Ship of State from the collectivists.
But even then our job will not be finished, indeed it will never be done. For the price of liberty is eternal vigilance, and each generation must work to preserve the freedoms we have come to take for granted in this Country.
