Alvin and Heidi Tofler are "ex" Marxists and "futurists". Gingrich refers to the Toflers as his friends and wrote the forward to one of their anti-American books.

Here's what's in Toflers Utopian nightmare of a book...ENDORSED BY NEWT!

From "Creating a New Civilization" :

"The time has come for the next great step forward in American politics. It is not a matter of Democrats versus Republicans, or of left and right...but something more significant...a clear distinction between rear-guard politicians who wish to preserve or restore an unworkable past and those who are ready to transition to what we call a “Third Wave” information-age society…

A new civilization is emerging in our lives, and blind men everywhere are trying to suppress it. This new civilization brings with it new family styles, changed ways...a new economy, new political conflicts, and...altered consciousness... Humanity faces a quantum leap forward. This is the meaning of the Third Wave…

Our argument is based on what we call the “revolutionary premise”... The revolutionary premise liberates our intellect and will.

Nationalism is...First Wave. The globalization of business and finance required by advancing Third Wave economies routinely punctures the national “sovereignty” the nationalists hold so dear...

As economies are transformed by the Third Wave, they are compelled to surrender part of their sovereignty... Poets and intellectuals of Third Wave states sing the virtues of a “borderless” world and “planetary consciousness.”

The Third Wave...demassifies culture, values, and morality... There are more diverse religious belief systems.

The Constitution of the United States needs to be reconsidered and altered...to create a whole new structure of government... Building a Third Wave civilization on the wreckage of Second Wave institutions involves the design of new, more appropriate political structures... The system that served us so well must, in its turn, die and be replaced.

SOMEONE at the debates need to put the microscope on this snake during tomorrow's debate. I'm going to submit a question regarding the reconsideration and alteration of the constitution to CNN right now. Fuck this guy!

That "someone" needs to be Ron Paul's campaign. They must run TV ads with these quotes and hang the commie Toflers around his fat neck like a millstone!

This cannot get swept under the rug!

Honestly, there are a couple too many. I'm all about the more debates, the better, but this is just too much. It's the same stuff, over and over again. And if it's not the same lines over and over again, it's the other candidates picking up some of Ron Paul's ideas.

Someone should forward thid story to the campaign. Just getting way too many passes.

No matter what ad the campaign decides to run, they need money and lot's of it. There is no shortage of money that needs to be donated, esp for the IA guerrilla ad upcoming move, etc.

And yeah, it's time for Ron to really let loose (aka deal with in his own fashion the likes of Grinch) in the (IA) debates foregoing the caucus. We, however, need to get him all the money he needs to do the ad rush and activist surge.

This is something probably better done by the PAC. You may want to let AdamT know about it.

If I'm understanding correctly, Gingrich wrote the forward, but the BOOK not Gingrich said the quote. Although I did read somewhere that Gingrich himself said he agreed 'particularly about the third wave'. I'm sure that anyone dense enough to fall for him now will fall for however he spins it, unfortunately. The man is a snake oil salesman.

The RevPac could do a commercial. They should say something like, "Too often political opponents twist each others' positions for the sake of burning straw men. Well, we want to let Newt Gingrich tell you about himself. This is straight from him...- And then cut to someone reading the excerpts while they show the source.

Oh. I didn't know the comments weren't from him. I'm sure they can get him on something though.

Sailingaway is right. Newton didn't write it. He wrote a forward in a book that did.

The internet rumor mills are already starting to turn. I scan "conservative" websites and this quote along with Newt's very troubled past is being brought to the surface. There is NO way this guy will make it past New Hampshire!

I'm going to put my money where my mouth is too. I'm gonna let Newt's new rise sink in a little then short the crap out of his chances on intrade. That to me is a GUARANTEED payoff!

Where is this being brought up?

People don't write forwards to books whose central themes they dont agree with. The end of the the American system is in fact one of the main themes of this Utopian book...a book which Newt gushes about.

No way he can spin himself off of this hook.

Shame on us if he gets a pass on this.
