Ron Paul could go over all of his positions clearly

No media spin

This may get us through the media bias

Its a great idea and yes I think it would be worth while...just not yet. Lets wait until its a little closer to Super Tuesday. IMO at least.

Sadly, I don't think many people would pay attention. . . they would channel flip.

That said, back in 2007/2008 we had a full page ad on USA Today that was absolutely awesome. And the thing cost less than $200k IIRC. All of this was banked by one single extremely generous supporter.

This could be a good strategy for Florida - lots of retirees who still read newspapers. Then again, direct mail is probably cheaper. . .

Yes, but I'd like to see a commitment by the campaign for the dedicated use of the funds. It would have to be pulled off quickly so as to air just before Super Tuesday. I'd also want it to air during prime time; none of this 3AM slotting, which I remember from some of the old LP advertizing. And unfortunately, FOX would probably have to be the channel.

30 MINUTES?

Ah, you are talking paid programming Ross Perot style.
That will be super expensive if primetime.

Would this Money Bomb be in addition to the $10 Million Money Bomb currently going on that Ron himself announced on January 4th?

The deadline for the current Money Bomb is 45 days or February 18th. (Obviously, the Campaign is lining up for a massive TV/Radio/Direct Mail Bomb for Super Tuesday, March 6th)

I think the RP Nation will have quite a challenge just to meet this Goal, much less start a new one.

How much would it be to have a Ron Paul ad on Youtube before you can watch your video and make it to where you can't skip it?

The only problem is...who would watch it? Would undecided people? Would people who are soft or leaning behind another candidate watch it? Or would it just be us Ron Paul warriors?

It would be great if we could get people that could be swayed to actually watch, otherwise it would be a huge waste.

You would target the demographic we have the most trouble with - the older than 60 group.

Before contributing to a project like this there are a number of questions that I would want addressed:

1) Who would be producing this ad? What is their experience in producing political advertising? Who would be overseeing the fundraising for this ad? What is their experience in such a venture and what qualifications do they have for doing this?

2) Why would it be a national ad? If it were to run before Super Tuesday would it be more cost effective to run this ad only in the states that are voting on Super Tuesday?

3) What would the content of the ad be? Would it be focused on the issues that matter to the voters or would it be issues that are picked by the ad creators? What data would they use to base their decisions upon which content will be emphasized in the ads?

4) What would be the costs of production, promotion and TV time? What would be the potential reach of this ad and what data is used to support these figures?

5) What would be the impact of the diversion of funds from the campaign to an organization that would be in charge of this ad?

This could be produced very inexpensively - just Ron, either at his Washington office or his Clute office, speaking directly to the public. Maybe with some charts or graphics and focusing on the subjects important to the demographic you select to target. You might even cut it to 15 minutes if costs become too great for 30 minutes. You would also need advanced advertizing to make more certain that your targeted demographic was tuned in.

For it to be worth it you'd need it in a primetime slot. what a scary price tag
