Would you buy these? (Sunshine Silver Rounds.)

I got an assortment of all types of 1oz rounds, Sunshine mint 1oz's, ASEs, Canadian Maple Leafs and Silver wolves, and plenty of 90% silver which is becoming my favorite to buy since the premiums don't exist for them(if you search well enough on ebay) and are well known. The biggest size silver i got is the ATB 5 oz pucks, they seemed interesting so i've been buying them.

The only reason I have some sunshine mint rounds is because that was the first silver i ever bought, the premium was about $.99 over spot. I don't think i can see myself buying a roll of ASE with such a high premium now.

Do you know what methods they use to test the bars? I would not be very happy with any invasive procedures.

I don't think there is one single way, there are a few lab tests that can be done. Water displacement and so forth. Usually a fake is pretty easy to spot because making a great sophisticated fake 100 OZ silver bar would cost a lot of $$$

But everyone she has tried to sell them to won't buy them unless first they can send them off to get tested. It's a barrier for her that she doesn't have with her 1 OZ rounds.

My theory is that the only people that will have the knowledge to differentiate silver are the only people you'd trade with anyways. Some may not know what a barber half or a trade dollar is, but those that were smart enough to prepare for the future tend to be smarter. The majority will know engelhard, nwt, sunshine, johnson matthey, etc....

The co-worker that is in debt up to his eyeballs and just got the new ipad surely didn't have the foresight to plan for a rainy day and probably doesn't have anything of real value worth trading for.
