Would This Plan Be Agreeable

Hamas wanted violence from the get go and violently overthrew their political rivals, the Fatah, to achieve their ends

That's another false claim that you make. Fatah, with US backing, was plotting to overthrow the democratically elected Hamas government. Hamas came to know about it and acted first.

Of course, this never gets mentioned on US news. Even The Jeruslaem Post reported it.

But you must ask yourself WHY that is their stated position? Palestinians see no other alternative since their situation hasn't changed for the better in many years. It's only getting worse.

Thanks to the Pals own leadership. Time and time again that have turned to terror instead of a peaceful path. How have their decisions worked out for them so far?

Hamas officials have stated over and over again that they are willing to agree to a truce if and only if the Israelis would stop attacking Gaza AND lift the embargo. That includes opening the border crossings, relinquishing control of air space and water navigation paths around Gaza. Gaza is a coastal region highly dependent on fishing and shipping.

The Israelis claim to have withdrawn from Gaza in 2005 which you called a "HUGE concession". That is false. They left the room but are still surrounding the house.

Actually a intelligent response that is close to factual. However you are slightly incorrect. Hamas has never

1. offered to change its charter from claiming its goal is the destruction of Israel.
2. claimed it has any interest in a lasting peace agreement with Israel.

They have claimed they want a limited truce. Ofcourse the problem with this, is that every Israeli knows Hamas will use this time to dig in, re-arm, prepare better rockets, for the eventually showdown. Why would Israel allow this?

Quote from Wiki............

"no one in Hamas says he would make a peace treaty with Israel or permanently give up any part of Palestine."

From Wiki.....

Article 7 of the Hamas Covenant states the following: "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (the Cedar tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews."

From Wiki........

"Sheik Yunus al-Astal, a Hamas legislator and imam, in a column in the weekly newspaper Al Risalah in 2008 discussed a Koranic verse suggesting that "suffering by fire is the Jews' destiny in this world and the next." Astal concluded "Therefore we are sure that the Holocaust is still to come upon the Jews"

from Wiki.........

"In 2003 Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi published an article in the Hamas weekly Al-Risala in which he called the Holocaust "the false Holocaust" and "the greatest of lies". In this article Rantisi expressed support to Holocaust deniers Roger Garaudy, David Irving, Gerd Honsik, and Fredrick Töben, and to the idea that the gas chambers were a myth."

Well when you steal somebody's land, segregate them into tighter and tighter enclaves, treat them as if they are something only to be scraped off the bottom of your boot and kill and maim thousands of them, this is the reaction you will get. You reap what you sow, truly the campaign of terror being waged in the holy land by Israel would get thunderous applause from the ghosts of dead SS.

Israel will always do whatever it wants, thats their prerogative, but don't try and sit on any kind of moral high horse, thats a kind of hypocrisy one would rarely see.

Palestinian leadership has changed numerous times through times of war and times of (relative) peace. The end result of Israel bombing, shooting, and blockading the territories has been the only constant.

My cousin was in the Israeli military. He said the big rockets blamed on Gaza were shot by the Israeli military into Israel. The "sacrifice" of a few fellow Israelis is worth it to them. He testified to that fact both in Israel and here. I'll trust his word over any Wiki site on which anyone can edit.

Wiki has become Mossad occupied territory. Entries or edits that show the negative info on the Israeli side, or positive info on the Palestinian side are consistently yanked out. Citing it as a balanced source is laughable.

They do the same with the subject of income tax. Censor anything that goes against the IRS claims. Anyone challenging the IRS is a "tax protester." Dave Champion had an excellent write up about the Tax Honesty Movement, Wiki boys deleted it completely.

My goodness, another conspiracy nut. You fit in well here. Is it so hard for you to believe that Hamas would say things like this? After all, they

1. Have a charter that calls for the destruction of Israel
2. Have sent suicide bombers into ISrael to kill children
3. Fire rockets non-stop into Israel
4. Run daily anti-semetic tv shows, and newspaper articles.

One more problem with you theory; go ahead and Google it. You will see plenty of other sources that say the same exact thing. I guess Mossad controls the whole internet too.

1 is true (though that didn't stop Israel from registering them as a legit activist group), while 2-4 incidentally ranges from true to alleged. The list of Israeli atrocities and propaganda projects is far longer, and always omitted from Wiki. The salient point is Israel has an unspoken charter that calls for the elimination of the Palestinians, no end to the land grabbing by way of settlements, and no end to blockade/occupation of the Palestinian population. Paul has now clearly spoken on these issues in the direction of balance and non-intervention, as opposed to Wiki-like one-sidedness. Or is he one of the 'conspiracy nuts' too?

Your troll behavior is so apparent. C'mon..."crazy person alert?" There's no conspiracy sweetie, schools are warning student to never use a wiki for reference, anyone can write anything on those.

Oops sorry, Bethlehem is in the West Bank which is Palestinian territory. Lutheran and Catholic churches ARE in the Gaza strip and the WB.
