Just a hypothetical, what happens once the other candidates drop out and it's just Mitt vs. Ron? Would Mitt debate Paul one on one?
No. There will be no more debates at that point. No way establishment media will allow Mittens to face RP one/one.

If RP wins SC, they would have to do it.
I see Grinch dropping out before Santorumthey won't all drop out, not at once
Perry first, then after Florida Santorum
Newt will stay until after super Tuesday
There's a rumor that Newt is reaching out to Santorum and talking about endorsing him.they won't all drop out, not at once

Romney doesn't go to anything unless he absolutely has to go. If he doesn't show up 1 v 1, there is no debate and nobody but Paul fans would really cry foul, so I think it's pretty obvious he would decline...or the networks might just go ahead and cancel them anyways without asking anyone, which is also likely. The more interesting scenario is: What if only 3 remain? Will he show up then? Seems more likely there could only be 3 left after SC.
