Would President Paul Pardon All Tax Evaders?

No Pardons

He would pardon all "federal" income tax evaders thorugh his attorny generals. A blanket pardon to not prosecute essentially.

If all tax evaders were pardoned, what about all of us "losers" who paid our taxes shouldnt we get our money back? Why do the rebels get rewarded with a pardon and NOT paying taxes?

Good job last night Dr. Paul:

Well, think of it this way, they are rewarded for the huge risk they took. The real risk of being thrown in jail and persecuted by a society that doesn't understand what law is.

HALF YOU PEOPLE DON'T KNOW SHIT!

The Constitution explicitly says "no direct tax, unless aportioned according to the census" art 1 sections 2 and 9.....stop making claims when you don't know the law and what it actually says!

All "tax evaders" should be pardoned becasue they defended the Constitution.
All drug users should be pardoned, but drug dealers is another argument becasue it could have been said thatthey caused harm to others by dealing,b ut someone merely using for themselves is not unconstitutional.....

What you have to remember, is that the Constitution is built on the "Common Law".
The "common Law" says if a court or accuser cannot present and injured person or damaged property, there is not crime or punishment and the court must dismiss the case. The Common Law is also known as the Common Sense law...... if someone is caught drinking and driving, but hasn't caused harm, common sense says there must be something to prevent this or some punishment.....that is common sense becasue it is an emminent danger to someone else, but smoking a bowl of refer in one's own time and place is no crime accoring to the common law, but if one were to deal to a minor, that could be considered damage to one's property, since the child is considered property of the parnet. The parent could take the drug deal to court and punished.
Back to tax evaders......evading tax is really no crime, according to the constitution if the tax is a direct tax agaisnt the citizen..........the only tax authorized by the Constitution is an indirect tax, such as sales tax, gas tax, etc

Distillers and tobacconists should be locked up as well.

Subservience is its own "reward"?

I don't see a pardon from an unjust conviction as a "reward." Those of us who pay taxes, although we view them as theft, are playing it safe, ignoring our principles, in order to avoid punishment. The tax protesters are sticking their necks out, and taking a risk, to uphold their principles. Dr. Paul pays taxes, but states plainly that the entire concept violates his principles, and that the protesters are "heroes," observing the "noble tradition of civil disobedience." He does what he does, so that he can continue to work within the system, while others attack it from the outside -- a dual front strategy. It would be unpricipled of him, having the power to do so, to neglect to pardon those who've risked so much. I don't view such pardons as "rewards"; I view them as justice. If you want to say that "with risk comes reward," though, then so be it.
