We're standing up as boldly as possible... didn't you read the topic... (worst case scenario). If we proclaim the message of liberty and America wants nothing to do with it... then what are we to do. The Pursuit of happiness is in the Declaration of Independence after all. You have to admit that the federal government we have right now seriously hampers the ability to pursue happiness... not to mention life and liberty.

They didn't have to... They had home field advantage, and the source of the tyranny was located half a world away, at a time when trans-oceanic navigation could take months.

They were also surrounded by like-minded people, or at least, people not hostile to the notions of liberty and self-sufficiency.

Think about this... We could skip out on the National Debt! Woo-hoo!

We still have home field advantage.... Tell me... does 70% of America support the war?? No they are against it. They are all patriots just confused! WE HAVE the advantage! Nobody likes the government screwing up our lives. SO tell me Sir, If you run where will you go to? Till the neocons find you? That little island? They will tell you after they get the rest of the world to join them for you to join by force if you don't comply.

Running is the worst possible idea.. you may save yourself for a while... eventually it will all end up the same.

This kind of chat needs to be removed from the boards. This is unacceptable by so called patriots. Patriots don't run they fight.

People all over the world are looking for a new place where true libertarianism can reign again. While we ought to fight for our nation back... the truth that we've been given over to a hugely centralized federal government, a morally bankrupt foreign policy, a government which denies basic human rights such as habeas corpus, and may tax without any real restraint. Do you think we have enough time before the general election to undo all the social programming? This nation has been steamrolling in the same direction for over a 100 years. We can slow it down, maybe even stop it, but it may take our entire lifetimes. Are the young people here willing to give up 40-50 years of their life to the cause of reforming America? How about those who are older ... are you willing to go to your grave without ever tasting what it is like to truly be free? Let's get real. Voting with our feet is the best possible move we could make to change America.

Get a grip on yourself... Have you been outside in the world lately? Your countrymen sold out completely during the Great Depression. They fell for the New Deal... They fell for the Great Society... They fell for the War on Drugs... They're about to fall, hook line and sinker, for Free Government Health Care...

You have no call to question my patriotism. In fact, I will question yours. Are you a fan of America the Country? Or America the Idea? Because I'm devoted to the latter... And America, as an Idea, can exist anywhere.

I would challenge you to show me evidence that these people that live near us, geographically, hold the same things dear that you claim to.

That's why earlier in this thread I said that I'm def. in- but personally I love America- I love the roots of our country and I love the land- it just has become completely corrupt. When did I say anything about thinking we could take our country back before the election? LOL.. how many years and years did our founding fathers fight for this country?

Our country is completely corrupt- that's clear. And if the message of true freedom and liberty can't win in an election here- we either take our country back by force, or leave...

(however.. with the NAU and rapid movement towards global government- leaving America most likely will only fix the problem temporarily..)

We fight for the hearts and minds until 2012, and then find a Ronald Reagan or Jack Kennedy to run on Paul's platform.

I was a big supporter of TPB's island movement.

And tons of research was done.

And the problem is that it is impossible for us to be free to govern ourselves, unless we are recognized as sovereign by the UN. If the UN recognizes our sovereignity, then the other nations must as well and then we can govern ourselves, until then we are nothing.

Also all these private islands are parts of their countrys, whether US, Mexico, etc etc. That means we wouldn't be free unless we suceed from the US or Mexico or other nation.

No country wants part of thier country succeeding, and they have far larger militarys then we would.

Basically this was deemed impossible.

well i suppose that's gonna have be another deciding factor in the island we buy. We'll have to get one ruled by a country with a fairly weak army (and we'll have to bear ample arms)
