Worst attack I've heard against Ron Paul this campaign

I was listening to Mark Levin last night (WHY? WHY!?!) and I've never seen such an insulting and demeaning attack. That might be putting it nicely. Mr. "constitutional scholar" had a guest which not only trashed Ron Paul but his supporters. Said we ignore history, the founding fathers weren't actually non-interventionists, we are anti-semitic, and ARGHH.

Here is a list of things they called us. He focused on us for three segments:

-"Neoconservative" label is actually an anti-semitic connotation and Ron Paul along with his supporters embrace that word and label it on much of the party.
- We trash Abraham Lincoln but never trash the president of the Confederates so we are just angry they lost.
- We actually prefer the Articles of Confederates.
- We are neo-liberals.
- We want no order.
- If we were in power, expect whats going on in Libya to happen here.
- We are secessionists.
- We aren't actually libertarians. We attack everyone including Milton Friedman and only like Ron Paul.
- Our favorite, Southern Avenger was called ignorant and racist.

I'm sure I am missing more but wow.

Sure I could...but I decided to spend just one night to see what he had to say. Any harm in that? And this part of the forum is to report media spin..

I know. Just saying he is doing this for ratings. Best thing IMO is not give him those ratings.

This is connected with the American Spectator article from earlier this week. I suspect it's a coordinated attempt by the neo-con wing of the GOP to combat, across multiple media, the success we've been having in taking back the meaning of "conservative." They know what we're up to, and it scares the crap out of them.

Or contact the advertisers that pay his salary, and inform them of you intention to not purchase their products, and why...

I don't get it. I've listened to Levin a handful of times before, and he's in line with Ron Paul on nearly everything, then he bashes the candidate most in line with what he believes in.

Eh. I know not everyone here's a believer, but I take some small satisfaction in this, since even Levin can't be blind or ignorant enough to believe everything he's spewing - and teachers, as he can be considered to some, are held to much higher account: "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

Levin and his ilk have been very much complicit in driving this nation down the gutter for at least the last 10 years or so (noticably), and should be left to his own errors as anything else is just casting peals before swine. Instead, we need to continue our campaign of reeducation and actual enlightenment by way of actual facts and calm but assertive reason, as our views are expanding and these unpleasant people's are thankfully fading away.

If the republican party and 'conservatives' don't wake up soon and embrace the truth, they'll find themselves faded away to national insignificance and the national political scene will be completely dominated by independents.

Be well.

It's just that Levin is a NEO-conservative, and for some reason that 'neo' bit trumps every other bit of common sense they believe in, to the point that these people are willing to switch sides in surprisingly large numbers and support Obama, instead of support Paul and have to face the possibility of not exerting US dominance and influence across the globe and their own versions of morality on everyone else here at home.

Quite sad, actually...they're simply power freaks who oddly operate mainly in a fear mode, as far as I can tell. Quite the paradox.

Would Levin prefer to be called Faux-Conservative instead?

I like that none of his arguments are based on facts...his audience eats it up though which is shocking and sad.

I posed Tom's newest video on Levin's FB wall...still there 43 minutes later, no comments. :)

You know, given our ability to focus and be vigilant, that is a great idea. If you're going to trash and spread lies, expect some blowback from us, right where it hurts. I bet even if his show loses one over it, you'd hear pipe down.

Who is Mark Levin?

Heard his name around here over and over and over and over. Always has something nasty to say, or tosses some honey out to bring flies and then swats them. Mostly the people who listen to him chastise others for listening to Alex Jones. Go figure. Levin will never get so much as a click of my mouse or a three second sound bite in my ear.
