We must be wise activists

The federal government is gearing up for a civilian uprising. The establishment certainly intends to use this uprising to increase its police state powers -- and possibly declare martial law.

We can deduce this plan from active legislation such as the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act, the Military Commissions Act, the John Warner Defense Authorization Act, the Patriot Act...etc.

Knowing that the federal government anticipates a "revolution" we must be wise in anticipating their reaction to it. We cannot give them the opportunity to exploit our efforts to educate and activate.

This is one of the reasons that I don't think a "march" or demonstration is a good idea. It is merely an attention getting scheme (fun as it would be to go and be amongst other Ron Paul supporters and freedom fighters) and is an easy target for the establishment to infiltrate and use to justify force and twist the intention of those in attendance.

Here is a real life, recent example of this concept:

If you haven't already, please take some time to read Tangents: Neutralizing Movements that undermine the work of patriotic americans to preserve freedom.

We cannot throw caution to the wind, it is true, but we must not operate out of fear. This march is going to have several congressmen and senators speaking at it. I highly doubt we have to worry about exploitation of our efforts. This march is being organized as a family event. It will be peaceful in nature.

I agree, appeasement and surrender is not the answer. The answer is a peaceful revolution using Gandhi and Martin Luther King as examples. No doubt we will be tasered, gassed, beaten with billy clubs, and put in jail but IMHO, we will not be shot unless we use violence. It is easier to treat a bump on the head than to treat a bullet wound.

Those that are afraid to stand up for their freedom do not deserve to be free. Freedom comes at a price, one way or the other.

Well I would assume that the "establishment" would of learned a few lessons about a group of people with ideas i.e. Al Queda. They kill one "terrorist" and several more sprout up e.g. brothers, sons, uncles. If they were to do some "dirty tricks" would that not then lead to a larger amount of people getting involved.
Just my thoughts, im new here been a long time Ron Paul supporter but never posted my thoughts and opinoins. So any feed back would be appreciated. thnx

One would have thought they had learned that very poignant lesson, but now not only are we still in Iraq, now we are building up to invade Iran, Syria, and Venezuela.

Seems they are oblivious to the obvious.

By the way, welcome aboard! :)

I plan on being there with my wife and two small children.

The march on April 15 is a very dangerous event imho. All it would take is a few planted instigators and the whole group in attendance will get labeled. Everyone who goes needs to plan ahead and know what they will do if they see someone starting to commit an act of violence or make some such stupid scene that the media can use.
