This does NOT mean that it is time to rest. If we think we are going to win, we need to fight for it like we expect to lose. This is NOT the time to sit on our asses, get out there and do whatever you can do to continue promoting Ron Paul in Iowa. Im sure there are probably quite a few Newt Supporters that would be apphauled at the suggestion of the Death Penalty for Smoking Pot.
Not really, why do this when everyone in the movement hates the argument of voting for the lesser of two evils. Let´s stick to a higher level. Just try to convert everyone by painting paul positive and an obama challenge. None of those require lying.
at this point it'd be really nice if gary johnson would step down from the running an endorse paul... he isn't getting the support to ever have a reasonable chance of winning, and he seems to be excluded from all of the debates now anyhow.
I agree with fatjohn's comments and will add this. Think of Johnson supporters (as well as Libertarian Party or Constiution Party and other friends of liberty) as money in the bank or in a CD. We may not be able to pull that money out as easily as we would like, but it is far safer in Gary's hands than in Newt's paws. We just keep pushing and welcome ALL voters from ALL camps and hope those Johnson supporters give some love on voting day.
Johnson's 1% is trivial. I'd much rather steal another 3% from Newt than try to browbeat Johnson's supporters when they're probably going to support us anyway.
This poll represents numbers in transition. Paul is not just catching up as Newt is faltering, the two are in the middle of criss-crossing their positions. Judging by the speed of his descent, Newt has not merely peaked early, he's absolutely crashing! Would be wonderful if another poll had Paul numerically in first place by the next debate!
