You know, I'm a female and whenever I talk about politics (as a Ron Paul supporter obviously) etc on the internet people automatically assume I'm a male. Pretty frustrating. Does this mean that there are no women on internet unless otherwise proven?

It is standard form to use he/him/his etc. when the gender of the individual is in doubt. That goes back centuries. And I'm actually glad we're getting away from it--I like they/them/their even for one person, when gender is unknown, myself.
 
I like to keep things simple, I have a ganglia that fires once a week whether I need it to or not.
 
My daughter and my grandson are both 3. He wants to be a rescue hero. She wants to be a princess. She shows him her beautiful crown, and he's like, whatever. He shows her his handy rope, and she's like, whatever. Then she finds herself in a dragon-guarded castle crying for help, and he immediately runs to her rescue. It's really hilarious. Even little boys and girls think really differently, but it all seems to work out. ;)
