Women and guns

I swear my heart started beating faster the moment I read the thread title, two of my favorite topics together!

The thought of strong-willed, self-confident women with the means and the minds to defend themselves is, just, well gosh darn exciting!

Just throw in some gold/silver jewelery and let me meet them at a Ron Paul rally and I'd think I was in heaven!

I gotta watch that one.

Hello, I'm a young libertarian from France. I've never been to the US and I'm wondering how things works there.
I'm deeply sorry to show you this

This video is really awful to watch, but I'm intrigued by the comment of ItalianPyro92, who is from the US (according to his profile)

Is it true ? In which area of the US precisely ?

Thanks

i believe the "lol" qualifies that the post "ud get shot for that here" was a joke.

i would not brandish my weapon in retaliation to someone walking past me and slapping me on my ass. i would be extremely pissed off at such juvenile and disrespectful behavior, but i wouldn't feel the ass slapping was a threat to my person.

now, if the slapper had continued his harassment or followed me, i would react with the force i felt appropriate for my safety. i doubt that would mean me drawing my weapon on the guy, but it depends on the situation and if i had the opportunity to remove myself from it.

i can tell you this: i am MUCH more self-aware and much more confident when i am carrying.

I would second that.
I'm glad a lady chimed into this thread. There are just too many entertaining yet unrealistic videos that could be posted.

From those girls that I know that carry. You would never know it till it was entirely too late.

ShT;3606271Oh! I didn't know that guns are not allowed in Baltimore. (I love the show [I said:
The Wire[/I] btw)
The problem is that this argument could be used by anti gun people (I'm not one of them), there is no real borders between federal states so a thug from Virginia can easily buy a gun and commit a crime in Maryland. So banning guns from Virginia would turn Maryland safer. Another argument is : Virginia is a safe state and Maryland is not, so there is no point of banning guns in Virginia but doing it in Maryland would be a good thing.

Detroit has the highest criminal rate, what about the legislation in Michigan ?

Virginia is a safer state, in part because of the right to carry. The criminals don't know who could be carrying so they are taking more of a chance when attempting to hurt someone or rob them. Who knows who could be carrying? Having the right to carry makes the state safer for ALL, in that sense. I think that's just the reality of the situation. You can't force people to be good people, or to not commit crimes, (that has to come from within). By at least making the environment not so conducive to crime, so to speak, you can at least help to deter it. Or make people think twice about their actions and the possible consequences. Sad world we live in, but like I said, I think this is just the reality of the situation for now.
