Today I was in purchasing reloading supplies from a my regular supplier. We were conversing on the political climate currently going on today and the conversation drifted to the Russian/Georgia situation. He told me that real soon, Wolf Ammo and Wolf reloading supplies would be next to impossible to obtain, due to the blowback from the US involvement in Georgia. He said he was told this by a Wolf representative. Things that make you go hmm.

Yeah, that really bites. The only rifle I currently own is an AK Saiga and Wolf is just about the only thing I've put through it.

Though I have used some Golden Tiger, and that is about the same price. Seems a tad cleaner, too.

Guess they will be using it on Georgians, Ukrainians, etc.

I found Wolf to be pretty dirty ammo in my .40 cal beretta. Winchester was the best, and cheap at walmart.

Don't mean to upset any applecarts here, but while I am deeply saddened about reloading supplies drying up, I will certainly not shed a tear over Wolf ammo drying up. Wolf gets at best 5MOA out of my AR on a machine rest; when good ammo from the same weapon gets 0.75 MOA and match ammo gets between 0.5 and 0.25 MOA (again, machine rest)

Yesterday, I made a huge and I mean huge, reloading supplies purchase. With the uncertainty in the air today, I felt that there was no better time than the present to stock up. Personally, I think the SHTF scenario is just around the corner.

The one componet of reloading that is hard to do is primers. Those I REALLY stock up on. The rest like bullets can be made. Either cast or swaged. Current loaded ammo can be used for the brass for future loading.

Wolf and any other ammo that is Berdan primed is hard to find primers for, but can be reloaded. Not easily but it can if you have the right primers. Berdan primers are hard to find in the US though.

For myself I buy Boxer primers by the case and have ammo that is not Berdan primed if I can.

Now folks know why most serious shooters buy it cheap and stock it deep! Like by the cases!
