WMUR NH News Gives Ron Paul An "A" In Debate

Him getting an A sounds about right. I swear some of the people in other threads seem out of it when they say he did not give good answers in this debate. He was nailing them!

people here are like watching their kids at a piano recital and dying inside if their timing is off. Honestly, you go to other people's web sites and it is all 'Good job!' 'What a wonderful answer!' We're not so easy as supporters..

that's because we listen to EVERY SINGLE INSTANCE OF THE MAN SPEAKING! :p

So, we'll be a bit more critical :)

I hate it when people vote or think someone is smart based on "performance" which is basically delivery system i.e. how well someone speaks v what someone actually says.

I watched the ABC news last 20 minutes online where they talked about the debate with 6 additional critics including Marilyn (still married to sea serpent head?). She actually thought Santorum did very well and said she would be shocked if he is not in the top 3 now in NH. But everyone thought flip flop Romney won. Sure on delivery but on substance? I just don't see it. The guy blabbed in all generalities on the issues. I guess this is why this country is so screwed.

I would have given Ron a B+.

b+/a pretty close to the same thing. Ron rocked the answer when he called the others wanna-be kings

Giving Newt an A baffles me. Also I'm not sure if Mitt Romney answered any questions? Mitt is extremely good at dodging whatever is being talked about. Seems like the reason he doesn't get attacked much is because he doesn't have a distinct opinion on ANYTHING. Ron Paul did great, got me real excited for things to come.

And I was hoping he would tie that Commander in Chief all into that the President takes his orders from the Constitution. And that everyone up there on stage in some way or another had already committed treason and they aren't even elected yet.

By the way, Santorum's comment that the president is not a CEO or a manager was incredibly idiotic.

he did when he basically called them all KING GEORGE! HA.

Of course Perry got an "F". Jesus. He actually wasn't doing bad until he said he wanted to GO BACK into Iraq.

Newt gave the impression he`s knowledgeable and knows what he`s talking about. He handled quit well the "chickenhawk" part. Basically made the case he was raised in military family, had good connections with veterans, had plans to use taxpayer money to make whatever veteran friendly investments and so on.
He also made the case he knows his business on foreign policy, arguing that by taking out Iran you solve Iraq. Gave general impression he`s knowledgeable. He also cracked a decent joke about Obama to lighten up the mood. If you can make people laugh, you win them over...so over all I`d say he did good.
He also mentioned catholic church and how they`re "persecuted" which might have scored him some points with catholics and other social conservatives. Paul didn`t score many points tonight with social conservatives and I`m afraid he didn`t score many points on foreign policy either.

First time I`ve seen Newt in this campaign was at the Bloomberg debate, where he killed it. Had a great performance. He just knows how to make strong and credible statements.

Newt lost the exchange about the draft. Ron basically destroyed him when Ron said he had a wife and TWO kids and still served.

Not sure I agree with that. Paul gained some points with that strong comeback. However Newt compensated with promising stuff to veterans and he was pretty specific about it, gave the impression he has specifics planned and that he`s well connected to military and that it runs in the family and all that. He also mentioned that was part of some council which dealt with taking down Soviet Union. All of these more than compensated in the eyes of many viewers, I`d say.
