Will you support the war monger/drug warrior duo?

Will you still support the Root (war monger) and Barr (drug warrior) ticket?

Nice "fair & balanced" poll.

Have you bothered to read what Barr has been saying on these issues? His May 30 release presented a strong case for a non-interventionist foreign policy and bringing the troops home. And who better to point out that the War on Drugs is a failure than Barr.

As for Root, he changed his views on the war in Iraq several months ago. I wish it had been a couple of years ago like Barr, but better late than never.

Not a chance in hell.

Voted for the Iraq war, Patriot act, DHS. Fiercely supported the unconstitutional federal drug war. Introduced legislation to allow state sponsored assassinations. Favors all manners of foreign inferventionism. Has a vast congressional voting record that reads like a typical neocon Republican. Responsible for ordering the death of over one million Iraqis based on obviously insufficient cause.

The candidate belongs in prison not the white house.

Hell no. If you want to support someone with a message like Barr and Root, you might as well support McCain. At least he has a chance at winning.

I'm still amazed more of you don't see what is happening.

Many libertarians left the party to try and "take back" the republican party with Paul as our leader. We lost. While we were distracted with our republican plans, the neocons came in and took over the libertarian party. They won.

Wake the fuck up people

It seems like anyone who isn't a pacifist is a war mongering neo-con. Ron Paul supporters seem to do a good job putting people at the extremes and making it us vs. the rest of the world. And nobody is allowed to change their views after something they voted for is deemed a failure. And nobody can have a realistic solution to today's problems if it goes against the libertarian platform. This is why the libertarians always lose and why they struggle to gain members.

Supporting the drug war is the least of this duo's offenses. I think the support of the PATRIOT Act and DHS are far worse.

It really is sad that people with the spirit of the Founders of this great nation 'always lose' in most elections. It is sad that people cannot see the cell they have built around them.

When you find yourself agreeing with the individual you quoted, remember this:

I don't think they hate us for our freedoms, but I do agree that Paul's isolationist foreign policy is weak and naive. I just don't think Paul has a realistic view on the world today. The U.S. has been involved in foreign affairs for a long time now and to just withdraw everybody and back out of all our treaties and agreements is absurd. It's one thing to get out of Iraq, but it's another to turn a blind eye towards everything happening overseas that ultimately does affect us.

Paul thinks everything will magically be ok and we're supposed to believe him just because he says so. The world doesn't work that way and I think most Americans realize this and it's a big reason why Paul didn't win a single primary. Many people I've talked to and even some libertarians think Paul is crazy for his views on foreign policy and I agree.
