Just read about the public announcement of Benton's indictment. I know somebody's going to try and smear Rand in some way over this. Can you say Southern Avenger?

Rand was asked about it in the cbs interview this morning, wasn't really made into a big deal and Rand answered it well enough I'd say. How it will play out in the future, no idea. I don't see it as being something that will stick to Rand.

The press is pretty much done with it for now, since he has already been asked live and gave a comment. It will no doubt come up again in the occasional editorial. Other candidates in the primary are not going to dig at it too deep, because they too have super PACs with senior staff members whose character may or may not be called into question.
