Is the 400k from offline donations added at around 11:00 EST going to count towards today's total or not?

Your total is wrong. The new widget hasnt been updated. We have screenshots of the daily total when we started at 11.55m

One would think so, yes. They'd be the phone, wire and other donations. Official campaign start amount - according to the widget: $11,514.920.05

Sun Dec 16 23:35:09 EST 2007 $5,870,406.17

Yes, that's the online total. But the counter on RonPaul2008.com started at $11,550,000 today. Your $5.8 figure is not counting the $400,000 added from offline donations at 11:00 EST, which is clearly visable by the donation ticker. Do you feel that they are going to go with a number that conflicts with what they have published on the ticker?

I don't know, but if you're worried about it, how 'bout kicking in some to give RP ANOTHER 400K?!?! :D

This is the screen shot I got at the start...

Didnt the Tea Party start at $11,550,000?? The current total would be well over $6 million, but the counter still says less than 6mill today? Am I missing something?

EDIT: I did notice that the daily total did NOT update ever while I was viewing it. Maybe theres a bug in the counter....

We're just going to have to wait for the numbers publicized by the official campaign like last time.

There was a disputed $200,000-300,000 on Novemeber 5th if you remember, and while some people here were saying that some of the offline donations added on the 5th should not count, they were indeed included in the number that the official campaign publicized, and that is the number that the media ran with.

So we'll just have to wait and see.

You can't count on a web widget alone. The campaign isn't run by web page designers. We're just going to have to wait on the official number.

And I would advise... let's be optimistic.

It's like a software logic error. The "today's total" tab in the widget is counting online donations made since 00:00:00 today. The "total this quarter" tab in the widget is counting all donations since midnight, Oct 1st.

So yes, we broke Kerry's record, we broke Hillary's record, and we've smashed any and all online records that ever existed. Hillary's record was "money raised" not "money raised online" so was Kerry's, so it's fair that we can use our offline donations too.

On Nov 5th, there were about $4M of online donations and $300K of offline. It has become a standard quote now by the mainsteam media, that Ron raised $4.3M "online" on Nov 5th... so I suppose using them again will "stick" to the Dec 16 totals.
