Politico has published at least two speculatory articles on what the top personnel in a second Trump White House might look like. Several prominent neocons are on the list. Will the neocons move back in and run the show? Also today, tens of thousands of soldiers are deserting the Ukrainian army. What happens when there is no one left to fight?

No doubt Trump liked to have some people around to play "bad cop" for him. No reason to believe that will change.

But has he learned that these people will undermine him and his "good" people?

My default positions on all such question are always the pessimistic ones.

That way - in addition to those positions tending to be more realistic and accurate - any deviations or surprises will tend more to being pleasant than to being disappointing.
