Will Dr. Paul be on Real Time tonight?

The website says via satellite. I thought he was going to be there in person?

I think they mean Michael Moore is going to be via satellite. I seen something about it earlier and it seemed different to me and that Dr. Paul was going to be there in person like last time. Could be wrong though  But I'm pretty sure I seen another promotion saying only MM was going to be via satellite.

This Friday, Bill welcomes Ben Affleck, PJ O'Rourke, and via satellite, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) and Michael Moore.

Yesterday I thought it said Affleck, O'Rourke, and Ron Paul and via satellite Michael Moor.

What the...

WEEKLY POLL NEW!
Of the Republicans listed, who do you think will get the GOP's nomination nod in '08?

  • Rudy Giuliani
  • John McCain
  • Mitt Romney
  • Mike Huckabee
  • Fred Thompson
  • Newt Gingrich

No Ron Paul?! Is this a lame attempt to exact revenge for Ron Paul handing Bill Maher his ass on a plate when he challenged him previously?

I never really had much respect for Bill Maher anyway. He contradicts himself frequently, and his opinons are mainstream, aka, ignorant.

A Reason article (linked to in this thread) stated (at bottom of article):

"Tonight, Paul will be on Maher's show aside P.J. O'Rourke and Ben Affleck, debating politics on the in-studio panel."

No idea if this statement is accurate, but it certainly would be great for Paul to be part of the panel. That will mean a lot of airtime, a lot of interaction with Affleck (who is brighter than you'd think) and O'Rourke (who's funny and intellectually honest).

I emailed Bill Maher a couple of days ago thanking him for having him on and explaining that he had not been included in many other polls and this was causing his crazy low numbers in them.

Ron Paul on Bill Maher

Looks like it's confirmed...

Paul on Maher, Friday, 11PM EST

Presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-Tex) will appear tonight on Bill Maher's "Real Time." Real Time is on HBO. Congressman Ron Paul will be in the Real Time studio along with P.J. O'Rourke and Ben Affleck to discuss free-market issues. O'Rourke is known to be a free-market thinker, as is Ron Paul who ran for U.S. president on the Libertarian ticket.

Television appearances can be dangerous for candidates who are gaffe prone or who are faced with confrontial hosts. Mr. Maher, like many in his business, is comedic, sharp-witted and confrontational. But he claims he is a "Libertarian" and has recently made positive statements about Dr. Ron Paul.

FMNN previously reported that Maher noticed Ron Paul after the last presidential debate. Maher reportedly called Ron Paul a "hero" for noting that U.S. foreign policy might be at least partially responsible for Arab anger at the West, and even 9/11.

Ron Paul is now on the poll and winning. Someone -- who??? -- must have made a stink. :)

YouTube -- me too! Me too! Someone link to it as soon as it's there. I'm waiting up until I see it. I've been so looking forward to this.

Rep. Paul Not Listed As A Candidate in Poll

He's now listed though?
I believe what the forum members are saying is that it seems strange that Ron Paul, as a presidential candidate, is NOT listed as a Republican candidate on the HBO/Bill Maher poll.
