I'll never buy tupperware or rubbermaid again, those cheap plastic lawn chairs that break off legs after their first season, and happy meals will be obsolete. other than that, I just don't see printed plastic being good for quality tools, hardware, or furniture.

Give it a couple decades, it'll get there.

Who will design all the 3d products? If everyone is buying 3d manufactured products I'm assuming a lot of people designed them... For profit, of course.

This. There will still be branded items and products. They'll just be much cheaper to make, and likely much cheaper to buy.

It will have to be able to forge steel at different tempers to be any good for tools. The blade of a shovel requires a much different temper than the blade of a knife, and plastic is inadequate for either tool.
