A few years ago I was noticing cameras set up at almost every stop light. I ask someone about them. At first I don't think he believed me. Later he told me that it wasn't our Fire Department or our Police Department monitoring them.
Now I don't see them but I haven't really checked very well. I can't imagine going to any more trouble than to just disable them if they were functioning.
