LOL yeah, while I was living in a small town in Mexico just to the south of Guadalajara, one lady I was talking to said she thought the United States was a terrible place. She said she had gone up to the border and crossed over and that the town was a mess and that she was glad to be able to turn around and go back across the border so she could feel safe again.
That is a common problem I've noticed from people on both sides of the border. They go to a border town and judge the entire country by what they see in the crappy town. Having visited most of the border towns along the U.S., Mexico border, I can say very few of them represent what you would see if you traveled another three or four hundred miles past them, into that country.
My advise is to get away from the border towns, before you decide what the country you are visiting is all about.
Yeah, I guess foreigners shouldn't judge America by visiting solely Calexico.
