I'm a strong supporter of Dr. Paul's, and I donated $25 on Nov. 5th, and $100.01 on December 16th, and I've made a couple of other donations along the way. I've also convinced my two brothers to contribute $100 each, my mom and my dad, and my roommate to all make campaign contributions to Ron Paul on December 16th.
The question is, why should I continue to give money to this campaign? We've raised, almost completely independently of the official campaign, nearly $30 million for Ron Paul, and yet the campaign seems to not know what to do with it. New Hampshire, for instance, had over 300 boots on the ground from volunteers, they had all the money they needed, and yet they placed 5th place in the state, garnering 8 percent of the vote, even behind Giuliani who had barely campaigned there. Even Frank Luntz thought we'd hit around 12 percent of the vote, and we even underperformed there.
It seems to me that the official campaign needs to make some major changes, or there's no reason to send them any more money. We are all stockholders in this thirty million dollar corporation, but I see no reason to give the campaign even more money when it seems not to know how to best spend it.
