Why should I donate during the next money bomb?

I'm a strong supporter of Dr. Paul's, and I donated $25 on Nov. 5th, and $100.01 on December 16th, and I've made a couple of other donations along the way. I've also convinced my two brothers to contribute $100 each, my mom and my dad, and my roommate to all make campaign contributions to Ron Paul on December 16th.

The question is, why should I continue to give money to this campaign? We've raised, almost completely independently of the official campaign, nearly $30 million for Ron Paul, and yet the campaign seems to not know what to do with it. New Hampshire, for instance, had over 300 boots on the ground from volunteers, they had all the money they needed, and yet they placed 5th place in the state, garnering 8 percent of the vote, even behind Giuliani who had barely campaigned there. Even Frank Luntz thought we'd hit around 12 percent of the vote, and we even underperformed there.

It seems to me that the official campaign needs to make some major changes, or there's no reason to send them any more money. We are all stockholders in this thirty million dollar corporation, but I see no reason to give the campaign even more money when it seems not to know how to best spend it.

just do it!!!! if it everything works out, it will be a great story to tell when your having a beer with some friends in a free America!!!

Let me ask one thing. Did you watch the debate last night? If not please do so.

Why stay in a relationship if its not perfect?
Why stay at your job if its not ultimately what you want to be doing?

You have to keep donating because the arena in which we are playing is played with money, not good intentions.

You have to keep donating because I am, and we are in this together.

Do not be weak; just raising the issue shows you are being persuaded by the media. Stay the course. Every participant grows our cause. Be Strong.

even behind Giuliani who had barely campaigned there

That's wrong. Giuliani is saying that because he's doing so poorly, but he did campaign a lot in New Hampshire and Iowa -- he was even there more than Ron Paul.

Anyway, you should donate because the campaign needs it. They have staff to pay, they are expanding into new states, buying new ads, opening new headquarters. They might not be doing everything we sometimes think they should, but they are the only HQ we have. If they don't get funding it only makes it that much worse.

I think I heard the rumor that if RP can keep raising big bucks he may consider a third party bid. So, keep that money flowing!

Sorry for keeping this pointless thread alive. But I just want to say I hate these "I'm not supporting because RP isn't winning" threads. You get no sympathy from me at all. Are you that bored, that you need to find an excuse to create a thread on this forum that no one cares about? Quit crying and go out and canvass now!

Becuase the last chance for saving the value of your dollars, and the prosperity of all our children needs it.

Come on guys, can't you do any better than that?

Doesn't it make more sense to be spending our money on individual projects at this point? Can't anyone find a better reason for sending more money to the campaign?

This "don't feed to the troll" stuff is getting ridiculous. Learn to take a little criticism. As Dr. Paul would say, Patriots are those who question authority, not those who blindly go along with it.

My suggestion would be that each and every supporter not give one more dime to the campaign until the campaign is doing exactly what each supporter thinks they should be doing.

Or..

Where were you when Paul was carrying on the fight all by himself? He has been alone in this for 30 years! Just get behind and follow a little longer. Do something independently. Do what you can. Stopping worrying about the campaign.

For crying out loud...

You're not questioning any kind of authority..

You're questioning your own convictions. And only you can provide the answer as to why you're losing faith in this campaign, revolution, cause...

read any media article about fundraising and they all say at least 25 million will be needed to remain competitive for super tuesday states. There are still quite a few states NOT on super tuesday, and the campaigns spend more in other places. They will need about double what they have now to really get Ron Pauls message out.
