The Republican Party has chosen another big-government fake conservative to run on the ticket in 2012. Looks like they are gearing up to have their base stay home (again) this year likely causing Obama to get reelected. Perhaps in 2016 they will learn that only a real conservative as their nominee will allow them to win the White House.

Here are the facts about Paul Ryan:

Paul Ryan Refuses To Cut Pentagon Spending:

Paul Ryan's Budget:
- It led to 10 more years of deficit spending
- It added between $5-11 TRILLION dollars to the national debt
- It spent a total of $40 TRILLION over the next 10 years
- His plan REQUIRED the debt ceiling to be raised
- It was an obviously unbalanced budget (in fact it doesn't fully balance until the year 2040)
- It increased spending over the next few years (it merely slows the rate of spending, not actually cutting spending anytime soon)
- It was was bigger than what we had under Bill Clinton

its a good choice, the average repub voter wont care that he's a fake conservative like Romney, after all he's probably marginally better romney

plus he's viewed as a "good looking", and we all know image counts a lot in politics

Mr. Collins is absolutely preaching to the choir here, another big spending, big gov GOPig. just look at that record, makes you sick that Rand was trashed as much as he has. Now he's in a position of power setting himself up for 2016 when Romney inevitably fails this november.

sigh...the cycle continues

Paul Ryan is a very bad politician, but he at least seems like a genuine person...unlike a certain Mitten. He will never get my vote though.

jim demint, nikki haley and paul ryan seemed equa~distant & logical to me in terms of a GOP ticket.
lets run Alex Jones, Justin Amash, John Dennis, Matt Collins or Senator Rand Paul in 2016 anyway...

i dont think we have many candidates that are well-known to run in 2016, except 2-3 =s no offense to anyone.

senator rand paul has yet to choose between a
potus run or a KY senate run and he has tyme
on his side as he keeps an eye on the d.c types

#1 reason Paul Ryan is a bad choice for Romney is that they can't win. For someone who has reputation for being smart and successful, he should have worried about winning first.

Paul Ryan voted for a permanent extension of the Patriot Act in 2005. He's just a typical fake Republican who is for big government.

I hope rand knees someone in the nuts 2016. If his father doesn't run, Ill vote for the next best thing even if he bears his fathers hallowed name. (think.)

Ron will be 80 years old. Let it go guys. He's earned a quiet retirement.

Four more years of Obama is way better than eight years of Romney/ Ryan. Four years from now they would be running as incumbents just as Obama/ Biden are this year. Incumbents usually go unchallenged just a Bush did 8 years ago for his reelection.

If Romney/ Ryan continue as expected to flip flop once in office. All of everything we have spent the last 6 months getting into the platform will be worthless.

In either case with 4 more years of Obama or Romney and not Paul immediate spending cuts you better hope for quick collapse like Rome did. That way we can push to return to return to a constitutional government as we previously had without a central bank ruling us.

With Romney leading the ticket, I don't think there is a GOOD choice for VP. If Paul Ryan is such a big deal in Congress, shouldn't he stay there and be influential?

At this point with Obama or Romney as the top two, that guarantees nothing changes in regards to foreign, monetary, or fiscal policies. The status quo lives!
