Why men earn more

It was not "unintended" it was intended consequences.

Absolutely. Hence the parentheses. ;) Thank you for posting the video. :D

I've oftened wondered what will happen if the shelves are bare or women are suddenly unable to buy pricey formula after their milk has dried up. :( Formula is expensive- maybe another upside of this financial situation is that more babies will be breastfed again.

You certainly are and I applaud you for seeing it for what it is.
I'm not going to look it up, but isn't this considered Fabian Socialism?
Did the former Soviet Union not say that this would be how they conquer us?
From the inside.

I'm certainly WHAT?

Today, they're into promoting multi-culturalism, open borders, globalism and denouncing those who have the nerve to care more about their own country than someone else's.

But of course.

The tide of women has ebbed and a new source of warm bodies to fund the machine had to be found.

Thus the open borders and why that will never be stopped, in spite of public outcry.

But, now that we're working, men and women should be paid the same amount, if they are putting out comparable results.

In my line of work, I've found just the opposite to be true. Female mariners that can't toss a line or rig a hose being paid the same amount as their male shipmates.

Very little can be done about it, since such a minuscule percentage of women are in that particular workforce, any that do come along are coddled and protected in order to shield the company from EEOC lawsuits.

Call me crusty and unenlightened, but there are some jobs that women should not do. Putting a female on the front line of combat, down in a coal mine or yes, on a ship with a crew of sweaty men, is as distasteful to me as a putting an eight year child in a sweatshop.

+ 1000

Another "unintended consequence" of the push was to take babies from the breast and give them milk substitutes instead. The bonding and amazing health benefits of breastfeeding for both baby and mother were another sacrificial lamb of the movement.

A +1000 back atcha'.

Good point, and one I hadn't thought about, even as a staunch advocate of breastfeeding.

:( Well, that's not right. If they can't do the job, they should be fired.

Yeah, I don't agree with that legislation. I just agree with the principle -- equal pay for equal work. But, if I don't get it, I can go somewhere else, where they WILL. Either that, or start my own business.

Actually, I agree with you about things like combat. Mind you, I personally don't care to do any of those things.

I like men to be men and women to be women. I like doors opened for me, etc. I truly don't understand women who want to be men. But, if they feel otherwise, that should be their option.

I'm certainly WHAT?

I sort of thought so...

We can come to agreement by saying, simply, that anything that artificially monkeys around with a free and fair market evaluation of the worth of one's labor should be opposed.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I’m not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

It was totally MY misunderstanding and my fault. I misunderstood Diesler.

fucking sexists.

We're all humans. I'm tired of all this bitching about which sex is better or in what ways one is better than the other.

What a waste of time.

Who said one was better than the other? Just because women tend to have to take care of children more often, doesn't make them better or worse than men.
