I think the main reason that stations like CNN are reporting it, then not, then reporting it, then saying it doesn't exist is clearly a lack of consequences.

When a "journalists" like these guys go on live, national T.V. completely uninformed and then proceed to spout their own dim witted ideas and opinions as if they are undisputed and verified fact, they don't even get a slap on the wrist. They get nothing. They go to work the next day, look at their inbox, see their complaints, and then delete them. Then they go on live, national T.V., and guess some more.

I'm all for "freedom of the press", but this lack of consequences is breeding a lack of responsibility. I don't think government intervention is the answer, but some more competition that points this crap out would be nice.

I'm well aware of the TTC and the reality of it. I personally can't understand how anyone could say its not real, however, I can see how someone could say the NAFTA Superhighway is not real. I believe the term is "symantics". When a certain phrase is used to indicate something that the common citizen is against, you just stop using that phrase and begin calling it something else. Then you look at the citizens still using the old words and call them crazy while saying there is no such thing. I doubt they would deny the TTC, but they would say it has nothing to do with all the other corridors.

They hear Ron Paul or someone else talking about a NAFTA Superhighway, so they call up the Federal Highway Administration or the Department of Transportation, and ask them if there are any plans for a NAFTA Superhighway.
