Romney made millions as a business exec. He appears to be well spoken. He acts like he is "conservative". He has pretty hair. The company he founded just purchased Clear Channel, the largest radio and billboard distributor in the country.

Basically, he is the Republican John Kerry.

Given his positives, he is the biggest threat to win the nomination.

I think he has plenty of negatives that will basically ensure defeat to a democrat, but he has run his campaign like a business executive would.

I'll give him props, but I hope RP gets his revenge for that cheapshot the other night at the debate.

Romney is completely fake ... but people think he is smart enough to fix the economy. Sadly, he, McCain, and Giuliani are most comparable to George Bush on Foreign Policy. Romney has defended George Bush numerous times, which is scary. He also refuses to say if waterboarding is torture or not.

As much as I dilike Romney, I have to say that if he WASN'T a Mormon, he would be a shoe in for the nomination. He is conservative enough, compared to Giuliani and McCain, and he looks and acts the part. Americans love the smarm. Women vote for him based on his hair.

But yes, there is an underlying religious bigotry against Romney. Yeah, it helps him in the southwest, but hurts him elsewhere. All in all, he has run a very competent race, and he seems to want it the most....to me thats what is most unnerving.

He is very charming, and has some good ideas... he seems trustworthy... he has taken the time to address why he has changed his opinion on some of the major issues. Lets face it he is also a handsome person, which helps him out as well.

Anyway, denying that Gov. Romney is a strong candidate is just silly. in my opinon they are all good people... I would love Ron Paul to be President, but I can easily accept a Romney, Huckabee, or Thompson Presidency.

Who would forgive his constant flip-flopping?

Who would overlook the fact that he isn't a conservative?

He is less conservative then Giuliani and McCain.

He is incredibly dishonest, far more dishonest and fake then even Giuliani and McCain.

He won in a liberal state by being more liberal then the liberals.

He said he'd ask his lawyers if he could go to war, implying that he would just plain ignore the constitution if he could while Giuliani at least claims to be a constructionist.

He has powerful support: because he is Mormon and has the full backing of the Mormon church.

Those "good people" cause our country to get into a 58 trillion dollar debt. They caused the dollar to be severely damaged from inflation. They made us slaughter thousands and thousands of innocent Iraqis. F Huckabee, Julyanne, McCain, Thompson, Romney, and the communist democrats.
