Call me naive or just plain "un-educated" about the matter... but EVERYONE is endorsing McCain right now, and will continue to do so it looks likes.

Why? Why does this awful-can't-win-GOPer going to get the republican nod?? Romney losing FL was the worst thing to happen to us ever. McCain is probably going to sweep super tuesday (he's getting endorsements from all of those state's gop-ers) and basically make our convention hopes null-en-void.

How is Romney not cutting this guy down to size? Oh yeah thats right, their basically running on the same more-war-less-spending logically impossible platform..

lolz

Why can't dr. Paul effectively communicate that last part.. you know, how its logically impossible to cut spending and lower taxes if americans want to continue the war (re: continue spending trillions overseas)??

He's the Anti-Paul. Which is fine...because we couldn't ask for a bigger contrast in policies and personalities.

Hmmmm...."They" know something we dont?

bandwagon effect.

They just want their access to power if he wins, even if they don't agree with his politics.

yes and as soon as Romney and Huckabee drop out, we will be able to court the conservative republicans, who do not like McCain at all.

This will make Precinct Leaders even more important!

ok, but why not Romney? Up until FL, its not like it was set in stone who was going to win.. and yet, all of the big papers went with McCain..

Romney, imo, could at least hold up against the verbal prowess of either clinton or obama (lol, who am I kidding, its gonna be clinton)... McCain wouldn't last a minute?

This all just seems very strange to me.. McCain was the establishments pick going in and now is, once again, the establishments pick. Go figure

I think the power brokers believe that a Hillary / McCain battle will be a "heads they win, tails we lose" proposition. They don't care about that Republican/Democrat crap. They only care about their agenda being maintained.

I dont get it either. I wouldnt vote for Romney, but it appears to me that he is 10x the candidate that mccain is, in terms of going up against obama and especially hillary.

By the time either of them drop out, McCain will have locked in the nomination.

Because Romney was dead in the water before he even started. The only reason he got as many votes as he did is because he was able to outspend everyone else by a large margin, but that's about to end. He's a blatant flip-flopper who's positions a 10 year old could murder him on. Think about it, if he has such a solid track record, why did he have to clarify a quote of his for 20 minutes in the debate last night? Almost all of the political opinions he holds now run counter to what he did when he was in office. I'm not sure how his supporters could be deluded enough to believe he's somehow done a complete 180 on so many key points.

War, war and more war.....100 years of war....against brown skinned people.

Thats the most popular agenda for all of the Republicans I know. They love it! Can't get enough of it and are seduced by the allure of faux patriotism of:

Pictures of fallen soldiers
Coffins with the American Flag draped over it
Soldiers holding their head in there hands as the continue the good fight
Soldiers saluting their leaders
Children clutching their parents before they ship off
etc etc etc

Very romantic.

McCain is the only choice as he promises there will be no end to their ultimate love.

as if mcCain is any better or any less flip-floppy?? Romney is by far and away the lesser of those two evils... and him staying in it strong would have been a huge boon to dr. paul strategically..

Now, we're pretty much going up against a sure thing.. i mean, after the 5th, this will be all locked up.. no more debates no more nothing.. just 24/7 "can wait for McCain to go toe to toe with clinton/obama" msm lines.. literally

Well Mississippi's senior Senator Thad Cochran endorsed Romney, so there are some establishment Republicans supporting him.

Maybe most think McCain is a more predictable candidate, he's been a liberal Republican for more than 20 years now.

Romney might surprise them and actually try to be a Conservative.

There is no such thing as the lesser of two evils. Evil is Evil.

I think the bigger people want Hillary to win and thats why they put a bozo like McCain up for the nominee.

Don't worry about it - historically, endorsements don't significantly help or hurt a candidate.

Tough to believe, but true.

I honestly don't think mccain is intelligent enough to run the country. He has no idea how the economy works, and will just hire the status quo bush administration to fuck it all up again. Ill never vote for any of them, but please god anyone but mccain.
