Why I will support Nader/Gonzalez.

I love how some people "just can't" vote for Barr because he's not libertarian enough, but are ok to turn around and vote for an avowed big government socialist.

I won't vote for Chuck Baldwin. He's closer to me than any of those remaining, but I simply cannot support a party intent on bringing about an American theocracy. To me, that flies in the face of everything the libertarian movement stands for.

I think that is a bit harsh. He is a man of deep faith, but I think he understands the Constitution. There is no threat of a theocracy with a Baldwin presidency. Give me a break...

I will probably vote for Nader. Yes, it's not a good choice, but it's better than my other options at this point. At least he has some integrity and believes in personal liberty and a balanced budget. And as people say, he won't win. It's a protest vote, purely and simply.

As a liberty minded conservative - I have no problem with people supporting Nader given the current state of our political system. I do believe he is a man of integrity and despite his misguided beliefs with regards to socialism - he would probably do more good than harm at this point.

I'm confused. Is the goal we have been working for a small "L" libertarian Constitutional program or is it merely the end of the two party system?

If it is merely the end of the two party system then have fun voting for whomever you want. If rather you have been working toward a constitutional small "L" program how can you possibly support Nader? While I believe, based upon reading some of his work and hearing lengthy interviews with him, that he is a good man who is well intentioned he is in favor of way too much government involvement in my life.

I agree with that. If you want to truly vote, I'd advise you to not vote for a big-government socialist. He really is. I'm giving it to you straight. He's not just doing it for political reasons, he truly is on the far left and I'm glad he won't ever lead. The state IS evil, but please, don't vote for that guy!
