Why don't ANY of the candidates attack Ron Paul?

I think RP gaining 2nd place in both parties' primaries in NH had an even bigger impact than most people think. What do you think went through Obama's head (or whoever's brain thinks for him) when he learned that the guy that took 2nd place in his party was Paul and that Paul outpolled him in absolute numbers across both primaries?

Santorum, Gingrinch and Huntsman have been attacking Paul over the last few weeks. Romney knows he can't win without us, so he has stayed out of the fray; likewise Paul has stayed away from the Romney attacks by the three aforementioned fools.

Actually I'm willing to bet all of the other candidates are currently being blackmailed as well as the vast majority of Congresscritters, J. Edgar Hoover pretty much proved that.

This makes it easy to keep them in line and limits what they are willing to say and do, since if they actually do 'come over' to Ron Paul they know their career at least will be destroyed.

Of course Ron Paul has no evidence against him of any corruption or scandal while in office or in his private life, so in that sense he is unassailable.

Thus the resort to outlandishly tangential smears like the newsletters or deliberate mischaracterizations of his positions.

If he had any dirt in his past I have no doubt it would be used to attack him, but Ron Paul is that rarest of all people, a man of integrity who refused to profit from public service.

Santorum has attacked Paul based on a weak argument that Paul supports earmarking yet votes against them. The theocrat has also attacked Paul on Iran and bringing the troops home i.e. stop policing the world.

But in general, the candidates don't have to attack Paul because their media whores on Fox, CNN, etc along with the fake conservative statists Levin, Hannity, Beck, and Rush (who are all connected to Bain in some way) do it for them. Those talk radio hosts are the pit pulls for the Party. And we know the only anti-status quo candidate running is our man Dr. Paul, hence they attack Paul on behalf the other candidates.

It's clear as day anyone who earns our wrath will never get elected to squat.

Also, the point is to keep him marginalized. If candidates attack him, they give him legitimacy as a candidate, which they do NOT want to do.

But, it is also difficult to attack a man who is telling the truth.
