Just two threads in just the past week with video evidence.There are many,many more.Do you think that they would have been more compelling,less compelling or just as compelling with or without the video evidence?
Bear in mind,I am not just talking about members of this forum where we have a natural distrust of the police but of the public in general.
I agree, "There, but for the video..." is certainly true.
I hate the idea of a surveillance grid to fight the surveillance grid, though.
But you are quite right, even though it's not a guarantee, even though the video can show Officer Friendly disemboweling you for "Contempt of Cop" and "policy was followed", it is better to have that, than have nothing.
