Why Is Bill Gates Buying So Much Farmland?
https://www.farmlandriches.com/bill-gates-farmland/

In January 2021, Bill Gates became the largest owner of farmland in America, now owning over 269,000 acres of farmland!

Many people wonder why Bill Gates would make these moves with his investment portfolio.

  • Is this simply a diversification of Gates’ massive tech investment portfolio?
  • What special interest does Bill Gates have in farmland?
  • Should we be worried about a tech giant like Bill Gates amassing this wild amount of land?
  • Is this just a regular investment move, made on a large scale?
  • Does this investment say anything about the state of the stock market?
  • What does Bill Gates know that we don’t?
  • How can this inform our personal investment decisions?

In order to fully understand and answer these questions, we’ll need to take a look at Bill Gates’ major financial moves throughout his life. It is important to understand a brief history of Bill Gates and Microsoft. This is what largely financed his massive farmland purchases in years to follow.

Cascade Investments, LLC

Microsoft has seen almost a decade of continual major success since Microsoft’s IPO in 1985.

In 1994, Bill Gates opened up his family office, Cascade Investment LLC, with trusted wealth manager Michael Larson. For the foreseeable future, Gates would sell portions of his personal stake in Microsoft stock each year, and reinvest it through Cascade Investment.

The idea here was to diversify outside of tech companies and invest in other entirely different asset classes.

Cascade Investment LLC from the get go began to invest in solid companies, including Four Seasons, Berkshire Hathaway, Coca Cola, and many other tried and true ‘defensive’ stocks.

Based on Bill Gates’ budding friendship with Warren Buffett, it seems that Cascade has adopted much of Buffet’s approach to investing: invest in good companies, and hold long term to see healthy returns.

Author is asking the WRONG QUESTIONS.

With the coming FOOD COLLAPSE, what else would Bill Gates do with all his newly acquired Farmland other than SHUT DOWN CROP PRODUCTION? If he really is a Globalist and wants to REDUCE THE WORLD POPULATION, what better way to do it than MASS STARVATION? Well I think I answered my own question here. We know WHY Bill Gates bought so much farmland now. So he could SHUT IT DOWN AND MAKE PEOPLE STARVE TO DEATH.

Bill Gates is buying up a lot of farmland because he wants people to eat synthetic meat and he wants to control the world population.

If Elon Musk can buy twitter, then Bill Gates can buy farmland.

When Bill Gates the monopolist controlled the vast majority of the software that wasn't good. There really wasn't anything libertarian about that at all. But we can live without computers, even if we think we can't.

There's nothing libertarian about monopolizing farmland, either. Especially when it's bought with currency freshly printed for Big Pharma. And farmland we can't do without.

The bastard's scary. Furthermore, since it was bought with government currency, there's nothing un-libertarian about us taking it the hell away from him.

I wasnt trying to suggest Bill Gates can not buy farm land.

Rather the RISK it poses to us is if Bill Gates bought farmland with the intention of NOT FARMING which collapses the food supply so he can have his Population Control, which means Population Reduction by STARVATION. I do not think there is any FINANCIAL INCENTIVE for him otherwise.
