Why are these Americans funding a foreign state's spy agency?

Should this be questioned? If so, why it is not being discussed in liberal controlled US media?

American Jews fund $2.2 million gym for Israel's Mossad

Israel's spy agency has been authorized to receive a donation from Friends of the IDF. But Mossad members aren't young draftees, they're well-paid professionals.

There can be multiple serious objections to this. First, citizens of a nations primary concern should be welfare of troops/veterans of their own nation or of a foreign state?

Does it make sense to fund a foreign well fed agency that is known to very aggressively engage in Espionage in America when more and more veterans at home are becoming homeless and need support?

The number of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans who are homeless or at risk of losing a roof over their heads has more than doubled in the past two years, according to government data.

As to the regime behind this spy agency, their commitment to freedom and equal rights of people under its occupation is also becoming less covert:

Deputy defense minister: This government will block any two-state deal

With the Likud-Beytenu and Jewish Home parties opposed to a Palestinian state, efforts at negotiations are futile, Danny Danon tells Times of Israel

By Raphael Ahren
June 6, 2013

Danon’s statements, made Wednesday to The Times of Israel in his first major interview with an Israeli news outlet since he became deputy minister, underline the low likelihood of the current government being able to sign a peace agreement with the Palestinians.

“Look at the government: there was never a government discussion, resolution or vote about the two-state solution,” Danon said. “If you will bring it to a vote in the government — nobody will bring it to a vote, it’s not smart to do it — but if you bring it to a vote, you will see the majority of Likud ministers, along with the Jewish Home [party], will be against it.”
Danon said Netanyahu calls for peace talks despite his government’s opposition because he knows Israel will not arrive at an agreement with the Palestinians in the near future.

A better and more important question is this: why is Sheldon Adelson, who is a major GOP donor, referring to Israel as "our country" and the IDF as "our army"?

I'm not making this up! He is a US citizen, not an Israeli citizen, yet he clearly identifies with a foreign nation. Is it really appropriate that this man spends hundreds of millions in attempt to influence our domestic politics? Is it really appropriate for the Republicans to accept his money? Why do politicians like Ted Cruz make a fuss about Chuck Hagel potentially accepting donations from the Arabs, when Mr. Adelson is obviously a much bigger problem? I have come to despise the so-called "national-security conservatives" for this very reason.

If Sheldon calls a foreign state/military as his instead of the country whose citizen he is, that is strange. But he is a major dope. As is Cruz.

He is only a dope insofar as he thought that Romney could actually win. Otherwise Adelson knows exactly what he's doing: bribing our politicians to secure favourable policies for "his" country.

Bribing and purchasing US politicians by special interests unfortunately is a wildly popular sport lately ; Newt, Romney, Cruz, Rubio, Lindsey, McCain, Reid, Obama etc all received monies from foreign agent lobbies.

Should individiuals be allowed to make contributions to whomever they like? Like building a gymnasium- even if it is in another country?

Is building such a gymnasium the same as funding a spy agency?

So what would your solution be? To ban jews or other individuals from spending THEIR OWN MONEY to build some gym? Who fucking cares its there money.

Would you tell people like Sheldon Adelson what they can and cannot say? There money and views are there own.

If I want to pay to build a gym for the guatemalan spy agency I should be free to do so.

I don't think there are laws (as far as I know) against :

Buddihsts in US funding Chinese spy agency or
Atheists/communists in the US funding Russian KGB agency
Jews in the US funding Israeli mossad agency
Muslims in US funding Iranian or Saudi spy agency

at the time when numbers of military veterans of their own nation are going homeless at alarming numbers.

But it does not smell good and there are also no laws against questioning conduct and preferences in such cases. It is not exactly charity work, there are conflicting interests and they could very well be aiding/abetting stealing of US military secrets.
Can anyone explain how such a conduct does not harm US interests and does not put interests of a foreign entity ahead of their own nation's given the undisputed track record of this agency's espionage targetting America?

Like how to build a suspended flooring to handle bouncing on it during sports activities?

Explain why they want to build a gym?

Are seriously asking this question and saying that some Americans funding a gym for US forces vs KGB vs Mossad vs Chinese Spy agency will all be just building gyms to promote healthy cardio workouts on the planet?

Are you seriously suggesting that it is somehow selling US military secrets to Israel (who has tons of US military hardware and knowhow already)?

There building a gym for christs sake. A gym.

Its there money if they want to build it thats there right who are you to say otherwise under the guise of "National Security"

Let's get Rand to pass a law. As of right now, any and all charitable contributions must go to building housing and providing benefits to Veterans. No other causes allowed. And nothing outside the country. Starving children can feed themselves. If we feed them, it will just make them more dependent anyways. Of course, that will encourage the government to create more military veterans (more wars).

I said what I said. If they have knowhow already, then Why Jonathon Pollard is languishing in prison today?

Ideally, there should be some kind of retribution against politicians who accept money from the Israeli lobby. They should be stigmatised as traitors. But for that to happen the public must first recognise Israeli lobby as the problem. Unfortunately, too many dumb people in America believe that supporting State of Israel is some kind of religious duty.

You guys arent libertarians your just anti zionists. Thats all you care about and thats what your philosophy is based on. Its not based on individualism and freedom but rather anything anti zionist is good anything pro is bad. Your simplistic, single issued, one sided, and narrow minded in your views.

Passing laws restricting what people can say or spend there money on is completely antithetical with ALL libertarian positions, principles, and beliefs. Who are you to decide what is right or wrong to say and what is right or wrong to spend your money on? You claim patriotism and national security?? Now who sounds like the neocon?

In another thread youve praised dictators because they might not have a favorable opinion of Israel. You clearly hold no libertarian principles if your willing to go out of your way to defend and outright admire any worthless 3rd world dictator who happens not to like Israel. They could be mass murdering marxists but Im sure in your book there fighting the good fight.

If your not a libertarian or a ron paul supporter what are you doing on these forums day in and day out? Besides trolling about Israel that is. (Which Im so sick of hearing about, especially in threads that should have nothing to do with it.)

Zionism is simply not compatible with Libertarianism, as I explained in a another thread. In fact Zionism is antithetical to Libertarianism. The Zionism stands for everything that Libertarianism explicitly rejects. Which means that you gwax23 as a Jewish supremacist and a racist should never call yourself libertarian, for people like you make a mockery of our phisolophy and our movement.

Now, of course I'm not talking about making new laws to bar the Jews from making political donations. lol I'm talking about developing a new culture that could help Americans fight political corruption, because make no mistake about it, Zionist Sheldon Adelson and AIPAC bribing US politicians to the tune of hundreds of millions dollars represents corruption on an unprecendented scale.
