I don't know very much about you voting system, but why is it?
I thought, he's out of the race.

I can only presume those are people that do not like the current field and wanted to send a message. Heck, Hunter also got several thousand votes.

In a sense, you could add Thompson, Hunter and Paul together and that gives a sense of how large the "protest" vote was in FLA.

because florida is full of dipshit election officials, who cannot trim the ballot down to those actively campaigning for the nomination.

It is a computer program...not like they have to reprint ballots or anything.

Unacceptable comes to mind, but I am getting used to strange stuff down here.
Maybe I expect too much of them....

Doesn't matter.

People will write him in for the election in November too, but not many.

I guess they're trying to encourage him to stay in. Frankly, it would do my heart good to see him and Dr. Paul the only two debating in July. We have 7 socialists and 1 conservative running right now.

Actually, i think it is a plus that they are that determined NOT to vote for the field they see that means they have not chosen a second placer.

It is our job to seek them out and offer them a second choice they can be proud of!

+1

and when the poo really starts hitting the fan these top three jokes will fall away.

So will Ghoul/Thompson/Hunter be on all the Super Tuesday ballots as well?

Florida has early voting which started about a month ago.
So when some of those votes were cast the candidates were still in the running.

We had paper ballots at my precinct polls and Thompson was still on it.

Dont forget this one! Just plain old uninformed voters who don't know he dropped out. Call it the Law & Order effect.

Even though he dropped out, his name was still on the Diebold screen. So was Tancredo's as well. So technically you could vote for Tancredo if you wanted.

I wonder if Alan Keyes got any votes?

Holy hell, he got 3,978. That means there's at least that many who couldn't fill in the proper bubble.
