People kill for money, with ease--harder to make them die for money, except in as much as death is collateral to killing.

So in the hypothetical a foreign power is actively attacking our regime. Am I going to fight for said regime? No. I'll wait for things to finish in that conflict. It'll be much easier to deal with whatever authoritarian regime wins after the fact, especially if it's the foreign regime that wins. The current regime is not worth fighting for. No matter how you frame it, that's what you're doing when you fight the foreign invaders. What confuses me about this survey is that the so-called patriots that think fighting on behalf of leftist authoritarians is somehow justified. Even the leftists aren't stupid enough to fight for the regime they actively want. Why would we?

There's a lot in how this question is framed.

Ask someone if they would fight to defend their home, their loved ones, or their freedoms, and the question may be one thing. Ask them if they would fight to defend the regime that rules over them with its boot on their necks, and the answer might be another.

Thus, instead of placing the onus on the individual, i.e "would you...(___)" It shifts the question to the cause of "why" its become not worth dying for.

Why would any decent American fight for the Biden Regime? Fight to defend home and folk community- to the death. Fight to defend the Clinton/Soros/Pelosi concept of 'democracy' Nah. In such a case the invaders might well be regarded as liberators.

That raises an interesting philosophical question. I'd gladly concede that the War of 1812 was hardly legitimate. But didn't the U.S., once attacked, have a legitimate reason to fight back.

In any case, that probably was the last time the U.S. was in any significant danger, and truly in need of defending. It's not like an attack on Oahu or a few Aleutians could have destabilized the nation.
