I will likely be writing in Ron Paul in November, I know it will make little difference, and even if it is not counted I do not really care. I may vote for Johnson if there is some help for the Libertarian Party for a certain percentage (I know that in GA, the LP needed something like 5% in the LP election to help them with future ballot access).

But whether you are voting for Ron Paul, Obama or anyone else. If you are polled on the phone. Tell them that you are voting for Gary Johnson. Most likely they will not ask about writing anyone in or they may provide a "someone else". But that will not matter.

The key being, Johnson will need a certain percentage in the polls to get into the debates. If he could achieve that, then that would be great. No matter who you want to win.

I know most of us have never been polled. They probably do not poll cell phones and likely filter out any would be Ron Paul supporters. But just in case. Make this one exception.

Agreed.

No matter who you're voting for - Say Gary Johnson so the liberty movement can get the 15% it needs to get Johnson onto TV with Obama and Romney in the debates. It will be HUUUUUUUUUUUUUOOOOOOOOOOOGE for our movement. millions will be watching from around the world.

I predict that if we hand Johnson a sizeable chunk of our vote during pre-election polling, demonstrating that it will be a landslide loss for Romney, the Establishment will be tempted to pull the rug out from under the markets (not all the way, but maybe 1/3 of the way) in order to help balance out the numbers in Romney's favor, return the race to "dead heat" status, and keep people from leaving the left-right paradigm.

"GUYS, I'M BEGGING YOU TO JOIN US!!! WE GOTTA BEAT OBAMA, LOOK WHAT HE'S DOING TO OUR 401(k)s!!!"

Want Gary in the debates? Call these folks & tell them to add Gary Johnson to the presidential polls:

GALLUP: (202) 715-3030
Rasmussen: (732) 776-9777
CNN: (404) 827-1500

Agreed! I can definitely do that. I don't want to have to watch Obama and Romney argue about how much they agree with each other.

Gary Johnson panders? I think I've heard a very consistent message from him. It's not polished. And some of it is embryonic. But you could say he pitches the part of his message that an interviewer or audience wants to hear. Him and everyone else. I have seen him do this. And I've seen him do the opposite. Not consistent with it. However, he does not flip flop like a Romney.

The question comes down to this: Who would be the best president for our country, Romney, Obama or Johnson? That's an easy one. Johnson was the best governor in the country. He ran for re-election in a heavily Democratic state and won. He cut spending, didn't raise taxes and left a budget surplus where there had been a deficit.

You want social issues? Vote for the Republican Taliban. You want a country that isn't look for wars all over the world and doesn't spend all your money domestically, and likely would have Ron Paul as Treasury Secretary or Fed Chair? Then it's got to be Johnson. At the very least, say you're voting for him to get him into the debates. The Dems and R's have had their way with these shams far too often.

He was in debates.. I heard him speak. I have also heard him on news interviews.

Frankly,, I have heard more than enough.

Exactly. Not a chance in hell.

You simply don't know that. Ross Perot got into the debates. John Anderson got into the debates. If he has 15% on the polls, he'll most likely get in. I only hope that by that time he has hired a speech/debate coach. He could use a good one.

I used to think this way, but then I watched the RNC a few days ago. Even if Gary gets 15%, they'll probably change the rules to 25%.

GJ is a democrat pretending to be libertarian why would I vote for him?why would I tell anyone who I vote for anyhow?Id vote ron paul or no one at all....I don't need to "protest vote" ,let the republican statisticians guess all they want how they lost.

Huh? He's a libertarian Republican. That's what they look like. And just so you know, he cut government in New Mexico and vetoed both Democratic and Republican spending bills more than any governor in the country. If that's a Democrat, then I'm a Democrat too.

What a silly thing to say.
