In a hypothetical 2016 presidential election in which Rand Paul is the Republican nominee, and Dennis Kucinich is the Democratic nominee, for whom do you vote?

Better question will be this

Who will you vote 4?

Pro choice Ron Paul OR Pro life Obama

That my friend is popcorn worthy drama.

I think he is comparing the DP and RPF with these polls. With respect to the DP (where I first started when I learned of RP), it has become filled with a vocal group of unrealistic ideas. A good portion of the people over there would seem to take Jesse Ventura or Dennis over Rand any day of the week. I'm probably going to transition over here, if only because I believe this place to be more productive.

Paul/Kucinich 2016 Independent !!!

"We've abandoned our parties
and met on Common Ground"

I think a well funded (you'd have grassroots throwing money from three corners; D, R, & L), common ground platform (plenty of overlap), Rand/Dennis OH/KY indy 2016 ticket would be a game changer in US politics. It would get democrats talking to republicans again. It would get a nation involved in the political discussion again on real issues: We'd see the Fed restructured or eliminated, bailouts ended, the drug war ended, TSA eliminated, extra judicial killings ended, and our troops back on our shores; not to mention the smack in the face to the establishment L/R divide status quo. Frankly, I think Rand and Dennis have more in common with each other than either of them have in common with their respective party's politics. Both are in the top tier of national politics and both are amongst the most well spoken representatives we have on "liberty" issues.

I like them both and have listened to both speak many times over. If presented with the situation in the OP I would take Rand over Dennis; that said I'd take Dennis over a lot of other politicians. I like Rands energy and tone; but given the opportunity I think they'd rile each other up.

I know most folks here at RPF are very anti "democrat" but have a look:

I think it is a fair question. So of us are curious where that 12% is going whether to another candidate or civil war.

I really don't understand the hero worship of Kucinich. Yes, he's a good guy with "good intentions" and we can agree on specific important issues. But his overall ideology is dangerous. He wants to redistribute wealth. He wants world government. He wants to take away your right to defend yourself. And he endorsed Obama.

Pro-choice Ron Paul. While I am pro-life, I have 99 problems with Obama (but it this case, a bitch wouldn't be one).

That last point doesn't matter since Rand endorsed Rmoney.

Anyway, you have to understand that not everyone is going to agree on every single issue. However, if we can agree on some of the bigger issues and get the ball rolling/start talking without playing stupid party politics, we'll get somewhere and make some headway. Instead of trying to throw a Hail Mary pass, we need to gain some yardage until we get to the goal post. I don't agree with everything Kucinich does or says, nor do I agree with everything Rand Paul has said or done. However, they both agree on major issues that concern me. I like what presence posted. I think it's a good way of looking at things.

It absolutely is.

It'd be nice for some of the hate-Rand crowd to inform the rest of us who is the oh-so-principled candidate, who's actually running in 2016, they're supporting. Guess it's easier to just tear others' candidates down.

Whaaa whaaa whaaa...geez, what butthurt.
