If Earl Ray Tomblin is the seventh best governor in the USA, then we are in a LOT of trouble. He is a rat-pimp and I would tell him to his face. He vetoed the constitutional carry bill a couple of months back, which sets his status some five hundred levels below that of a child molester.

That paper you linked is obsolete. The governer in my state has changed since then

It's not Haslam of Tennessee, I can tell you that. Democrat Phil Bredesen, a previous governor, was actually quite good, and did pretty well developing the economic interests of our state and getting emergency management plans in place. Not so great on other things, but I think that would be hard for any governor, given the amount of federal intervention there is.

I think almost anyone with good communication, organizational and financial management skills would be a good governor, as long as the Federal government gets out of the way.

I think that's a pretty safe bet.

Whoa dud! You are being insulting to child molesters! specially as we are talking about a state where marrying your 13yo cousin is considered a "tradition"...

umm, 13yo sister? Some states...

We've all heard the jokes. WV and LA... Seems like there is another one or two notorious for inbreeding hillbillies.

I've had a lot going on in my life lately, but I would say Abbott. He's doing great things for Texas right now.. Now if he will just spit in the eye of the Feds and tell them no training exercises in Texas; I would worship the ground he walks on.
