Who would Rand Paul pick for Vice President?

I can't imagine the RNC giving him a great list. This would be one of those compromises that would have to be made. He would not get someone like Judge Nap. It'll be someone who is a loyal party team player, but could change stances to get enough in line with Rand while still keeping the traditional base.

I think so too, unfortunately. Could it be somebody like Sarah Palin??

No. They won't make that mistake again soon. That was the RNC out thinking themselves. McCain has a better chance with an empty suit like Romney. Instead they tried to go for the women's vote and chose about the worst person possible.

McCain was fairly well liked and respected in politics (not so much by the liberty movement) before that campaign. Now he's remembered for a campaign where he had to put his foot in his mouth repeatedly spending as much time trying to cover up her gaffs as he did actually campaigning.

The RNC would pick someone older and fairly moderate. Someone who can articulate the mythical middle ground between a Rand's positions and the GOPs. It would be someone boring and not well liked by us, but no one we would walk out of the campaign over.

Yikes! I guess I don't want to know who it could be but I have a hunch you might be talking about one of the others running for the nod?

It won't be another candidate or anyone well known nationally, unless there is not a nominee going into the convention. Then it will be Rubio.

Depends on too many factors for me to predict. If it's someone already running, then they would need to be fairly unscathed and able to meet Rand on most any positions without it being overly noticeable that they are full of it.

Vermin Supreme is the only one that would destroy Bernie Sanders in the VP debate.

What if he took Kristen Gillibrand and the instantaneously blew up both political parties. I know TPTB will never let it happen, but it would be a game changer. Wonder how she voted on Audit the Fed?

I'm OK with the right sort of democrat being chosen. Would never ever ever ever ever be allowed though. The 2 party system is a sham anyway so....

I would go with Walter Jones, Justin Amash.

I can see why you propose these 2 fine men. However, Rand might decide to pick somebody who was part of the liberty wing but not currently in Congress (in order to keep Jones, Massie, Amash and Lee in Congress to help pass the bills) or might go with an outsider. I thought about Gary Johnson, but there are many differences between the 2. Jesse Ventura sounds good but he has a tainted reputation and said he wouldn't consider being a D or R. So, I think J.C. Watts could be a good pick. :D

I would love to see Rand choose someone with liberty leanings. But I feel if Rand gets the nomination it will probably be due to a brokered convention. I fear it will be like 1980 when the GOP forced George Herbert Walker Bush on Reagan.
