Who will the fall-guy be when TSHTF?

Historically, governments try very hard to survive by passing the blame for their mistakes onto others. The bigger the mistakes, the bigger and more threatening the fall-guy needs to be.

If or when TSHTF (depression, hyperinflation, food shortages, etc), who do you think the fall guy will be, and what might the story look like?

-- Islamic fundamentalists
-- All muslims
-- Generic "terrorists"
-- Mexican illegal immigrants
-- China
-- Iran
-- Oil exporting countries (OPEC / Saudi Arabia)
-- Israel
-- Russia

Or perhaps some other group.

Based on comments from typical J6P, it seems like muslims would make an easy target -- but I don't see how the government would sell it, except possibly through a false-flag op of some kind (unlikely, but not impossible).

An easier sell would be China, but I haven't heard much negative rhetoric about them in the press yet. The story there is easier: abuse of children (child labor) and other human rights violation, stealing American jobs, dumping dollars to damage the US, buying the US out from under us, hogging the world's resources (commodities), they are still "communists", etc.

The stated purpose of the FEMA camps is to hold "terrorists". Could that be a euphemism for whoever takes the fall?

Libertarians? Whoever is the next President will take a large hit for this... though I'm sure Bush will never be absolved by the memory hole. I hope that a crash with a Ron Paul Presidency won't set the liberty movement back...

Seriously... "undocumented workers". 12 million in this country, that seems a nice round(ing up) number. 99.9% of this country probably doesn't understand the cause of the exportation of jobs. They'll blame the folks who come over and work for less than they are willing to work for.

That's my prediction. It'll need to be a group that we can see here at home for the full effect of the propaganda to be felt.

Who doesn't want to be the next president? If they fail in office, blame it on Bush. If success, victory is all his. It's a win-win situation.

The fall-guy will be middle east countries like Iran, Afghanistan, and Iraq. When TSHTF, people won't care how much blood is spilled to get their living standard back up.

The fall guy will be... the privately held Federal Reserve and the Constitution of the US. We will be told that the government should have kept control over the monetary policy instead of allowing private buisness, ala the banks to run our economy and that our new currency will be fully controled by the governemnt.

The Amero will have oversight by a handpicked multinational (NAU) board which will ensure that the same mistakes which the private banks made do not happen again.

It will be said that our current economic problems were caused by that old document "The Constitution" which we tried to follow but is just to old to fit into our current times, thus changes are needed to move us forward and that our new government will make those changes within the framework of our new multinational NAU and not allow individual states or providences to complicate matters since we are now living in a global environment.

Economic collapse is imminent, nothing can stop it, it's only a matter of when they choose to let the bottom fall out.

Critical mass will occur, in my opinion, after "an incident" destabilizes the stock market. People are already conditioned to believe that the stock market is the hinge pin of our economy, along with always hearing about the stock market crash of 29. Only a small percentage will know that it was our monetary policies and actions that were responsible.

According to the commercial I saw a few days ago, the American public will be the fall guy because we stopped spending money. At least that is what the commercial implied when they begged me to come down and buy a new car to help out our economy .

Iran and Venezuela

We are calling for more sanctions against Iran who has already vowed to cut of oil sales if that happens and Hugo Chavez has threatened to halt exports and are having a new conflict with our ally Columbia.

We'll keep pushing both those situations until they do halt shipments then we'll blame the oil crunch for the economy and inflation and our politicians will use that to sell the idiotic masses war with Iran and Venezuela.

The Mexican illegal immigrants. Hell, all Mexican immigrants (legal or illegal) will be blamed. F*#k, anyone who is Latino/Hispanic legal, illiegal, or American, with any hint of a Spanish accent will be blamed. That and Bush, China, and the 'free market'.
