Who to vote for now? Bernie or Trump?

But you have to look at it long term. Once this nation gets a taste of how bad socialism and high taxes really are, this country will be rebuilt very quickly on strong libertarian, capitalistic principles.

It's hard to predict how it will play out. After 8 years of Obama, to have another democrat elected is scary. Like Civil War type of scary. Some here might welcome that but be careful what you wish for. The militia movement is once again on the rise, and I understand why and support it to some extent. Leftists aren't going to just change their minds if the economy takes a nose-dive. They are going to blame capitalism and demand more redistribution after the next round of redistribution fails like it has already.

Obama was fairly moderate. Bernie is a communist

I don't agree that Obama is a moderate. He was kept on a leash by the GOP in congress. And a potential Sanders/Clinton president probably will be too.

But the perception is that all of the above are not moderates.

Kinda limited in your options in NY.

There are tens of millions unregistered firearms out there. This is why the recent big push by the socialists for private person to person background checks. There were millions upon millions of firearms around before forms were required for purchases through licensed dealers. This is why they want everyone to go through a dealer and end private sales.

This is also the reason why the federal government was going crazy buying up all the ammunition, because if they can't control the guns, at least they could limit their effectiveness. Honestly, until someone perfects the ability to custom-make guns using 3-dimensional printers and makes it accessible to every household in the world, there will always be some way for a government with an infinite supply of fiat money to screw with peoples' self-defense, either directly or indirectly.

Let's be real now. After finishing 5th in Iowa, the state Rand tried the hardest in, he has no chance to win the nomination, and quitting to focus on the senate is the best option now. I wanted him to win more than anyone else, but it's time to wave a white flag.

So who to vote for now?

Voting Rand or Ron as a protest vote is pointless. No one is going to notice, nor care about your protest vote.

I think Trump is likely to be the GOP nominee. Cruz may have taken Iowa (as I predicted in another thread), but historically, the silver winner of Iowa and Gold winner of New Hampshire gets the nomination and proceeds to the general. Trump currently has a 20 point lead in NH. Unless something major happens, Trump WILL take NH, and WILL get the nomination.

Now on the democratic side, Hillary beat Bernie by less than a percentage point in Iowa. And in NH, Bernie has a large lead in the polls.

However, Hillary is leading the polls in a lot of other states.

I think on the democratic side, it could go either way, but I'm leaning to Hillary winning, just because it's clear she's the chosen one that the powers that be want. Plus, 2008 was a year for firsts (first black president) and I feel now The People™ want their first female president, her name Clinton regardless.

I think if it's Bernie vs Trump, I will vote Bernie. Not because I like him, but I think under his presidency this nation will absolutely crumble, and I think it's long overdue and needs to be born anew.

If it's Clinton vs. Trump, I will vote trump. Not because I like him, but because I think under a trump presidency there WILL be nuclear war, and humanity will be wiped out. If humans are stupid enough to elect trump, we don't deserve to live. Your thoughts?
I vote for you to sit on it and spin......

I have to be honest, the one thing I like about Bernie is he doesn't deny he is a socialist. Everyone else runs away from they labels they deserve.

Anyway, it's Rand all the way!

Trump, hands down. I've been through the wringer twice before with Ron. This time I know Rand will not be in the race by the time my state caucuses. Rand is done after tonight.

Everyone I know who supported Ron in 2008 or 2012 has already gotten behind Trump, Bernie, or Cruz. It won't be that strange to join them after how painfully disappointing this third Paul campaign has been.

It's been like supporting a ghost the last few weeks to be honest. I had an ugly feeling the great student ground game would be a bust. Yet again the polls were right. Frankly, it's a relief this will all be over soon. A lot of us can just casually cast a vote for the next best choice, whatever we think it is. Better than suffering all the way to another GOP Convention with lots of people pushing false hope for Rand, as we went through with Ron two times.

Unless a miracle happens Rand is done, I agree. Before you vote for Trump and his liberal policies consider a voting libertarian or staying home. Don't fall for the lesser of two evils garbage, Trump is a socialist.

Probably going to vote for Bernie Sanders just to try and bring the house of cards down as soon as possible. Rome needs to burn and lots of people need to suffer before the liberty phoenix rises from the ashes. Sadly - this also means lots and lots of people are going to die.

People wonder why Rand's votes were down vs. Ron's in 2012...easy.

You've got fakes like the OP that have been looking for the quickest way to bail out.

Just vote trump and leave us alone, actually, dont forget to move your account to: www.donaldtrumpforum.com

I'll never vote for either. But especially not Bernie. Fuck Bernie. I don't think my business could survive with him, especially if he got what he wanted in taxation.

Ah the gun grabbing economic socialist versus the gun grabbing economic fascist. Donald Trump would allow your business to thrive and grow and then use eminent domain to straight up take it from you and give it to one of his cronies....all for the greater good of course.

Anyhow, Rand's still in the race. I wonder why all of this emphasis all of a sudden about winning? In 2008 the idea of winning was a nice afterthought to what began as a gadfly campaign. In 2012 it was all about the secret (but not really) "delegate strategy" that was supposed to propel Ron into the Whitehouse. And now folks are upset cause...well...what exactly? Oh yeah. We're not winning. Well duh! Seriously what's gotten into people? Oh...people believed that by playing nice with the establishment, signing the stupid beyond reason Tom Cotton letter, voting for Iran sanctions, saying Obama was "bullying" BP, and doing a lot of other things to "broaden the base" Rand was going to actually win? Yeah...I admit for a moment I bought into that too. And maybe it this wasn't the year of the anti-candidate, Rand would be doing better. Than again, you can't out establishment the establishment and Rubio is establishment through and through.

So. Not voting for Bernie or Trump. I slightly prefer Cruz over Trump. I think Bernie is less dangerous than Cruz or Trump because he wouldn't be able to get any of his agenda through a Republican congress and it's unlikely that the dems will retake either house of congress this year especially if Bernie is on top. The one advantage to Bernie getting the democratic nomination is that he would beat Cruz or Trump and then we could laugh in the face of jackasses like Micheal Savage who say "Support Trump because he can beat Hillary." But Trump can't beat Bernie. Not even kinda. Hillary is a wounded animal with a possible federal indictment over her head and super high negatives in general. Otherwise neither Trump nor Cruz would stand a chance to beat her either.

screw that. Until Rand drops, he's got my support. Then you can have your circle jerk with Trump or Bernie or Hillary or who ever.

Hope it works out for ya.
