Who is your favorite liberty candidate for US Congress in 2012?

I think we NEED to get serious about funding our liberty candidates. I remember we used to have big liberty candidate bombs, why don't we get one of those going again?! In time for primary season!

Some of these candidates have held their own moneybombs. That is probably the best way to do it. The group moneybombs never worked out that well. Individual moneybombs allow everyone to donate to who they want based on their own personal criteria.

On the other hand, "liberty" PACs can probably help a number of candidates at the same time.

Crotale: I live in MO-8 and Bob Parker is on your list. We desperately need to oust the entrenched RINO Jo Ann Emerson and he's the only good alternative I see. Can you tell me the precise reasoning behind your 7/10 score for him? I'd appreciate it and will try to talk with him and see if I can't turn him around to become a 10/10.

Partially for only wanting an audit of the fed, rather than and end to it. However, the main reason is his foreign policy. From his website:

"I believe that we must always maintain our standing in the world as the strongest military power on earth. Our world is more dangerous than ever and we must be ever diligent. The Parker Policy on war is that Congress must declare war, then we use everything we have to win the war as quickly as possible, and then we bring our troops home. "

However, I do believe you should vote for him. He's a step in the right direction. The ratings are just my personal judgement on how they compare to Ron Paul.

Thanks. Everyone in this area who knows Bob is aware of his desire to end the Fed but since his goal is to win the GOP primary, and you can't win a primary around here if you're an "extremist", he doesn't put this on his web site.

As to your 2nd point, in this part of the country you MUST say you want the strongest military in the world. Heck, nothing wrong with having that as long as you never use it pre-emptively anyhow, right? And that's the next point in his statement. so I fail to see the flaw.

I would have given him at least 8/10 but only because he's a bit too much of a religious zealot for my taste.

I can only go by what's on his website. If you're a local activist who knows him personally then you're obviously in a much more informed position to make that judgement.

EDIT: By the way, my personal opinion is that the desire to "maintain our standing in the world as the strongest military power on earth" is incompatible with Ron Paul's non-interventionist philosophy. America needs to pull out of foreign countries and close all the foreign bases.

Dan Eichenbaum dropped out of the race in NC-11; a lot of RP-ers are flocking to Mark Meadows, but by no means is there unanimous backing among the Paul-ers.

As for my favorite Liberty candidate, I would have to go Amash:
