Wow, that was a tough choice. I respect all of those guys but Peter is key to the financial issues.

Schiff.

He's got the most charisma, plus he's very successful and can self-fund. I love Rand, but Rand does not quite have the charisma or speaking abilities of Peter. Rand is my #2. I really think he's a great person, and would be amazing in the senate.

Peter is in his own league. Watch his speech to Mises, and you will see the audience rolling in the aisles laughing... at a speech about economics! He's got a gift.

I agree, though, that Schiff needs to talk about ending all the warmongering in his race against Dodd. He's probably actually to the "left" of Dodd on Iraq. Remember that Dodd voted FOR the invasion of Iraq, so Peter can hammer him on that in CT, saying that it proves Dodd lacks judgement.

If he is going to take that route, he MUST wait until the general to do so, and even then I'm not convinced it is the best strategic choice.

Keep in mind how unpopular Dodd is across the spectrum. In a general election race Peter can hit him on issues where both Republicans and Democrats find fault with him.

Obviously the economy will be Issue #1 for Peter. I'm just saying that on issues like the war, and even on some social issues, Peter can actually attack Dodd "from the left."

1. Wars and military spending
2. End War on Drugs
3. End Federal Reserve
4. Revoke Patriot Act (Dodd voted for it, and voted to reauthorize)

That should play well with many leftists in the general election.
